"La location est conforme à l'annonce et aux photos. Logement calme. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Francesco qui était toujours disponible en cas de besoin lors de notre séjour. Le cadre est agréable et bien plaçé pour se découvrir Bologne, Parme, Modène ... En cet été 2026, la climatisation était juste un vrai bonheur ainsi que la piscine et son point de vue. Un peu plus de vaisselle dans le logement aurait été appréciable mais n'a rien gâché de notre séjour."

"Our stay was overall really great. The pool was lovely, there is a sauna but I didn’t get to use it. The breakfast had a nice selection and almost all of the staff were amazing and helpful. A special shout out to the lady that manages breakfast as she seems to remember everyone and makes an extra effort with all guests! The biggest detriment was the night manager on Sunday the 19th. I came downstairs and there was no one at reception so I wandered over to the restaurant to borrow a fork. I didn’t take it off any table that was already prepared but went to the cutlery pile. On the way back I saw the manager at reception and asked if it was ok that I borrowed the fork to show I wasn’t hiding anything or stealing anything and he was patronising and rude over a fork. Other staff members witnessed his attitude and apologised to me after but there no wonder he is a night manager. It might be better if he wasn’t affiliated with the hotel at all as it left a bitter taste in my mouth."

"We wish we could give 10 stars! This was one of the most amazing hotel experiences we have ever had across multiple trips to Europe. Not sure how we fell into this boutique gem but glad we did. Clean, well maintained, beautifully appointed, everything is modern and works as expected! The location is ideal to explore Pistoia. The train is a very easy 12 minute walk. There is a breakfast available for 12 euro. Well worth it! My wife is a 4 shots of espresso girl over ice. They didn’t flinch and didn’t disappoint. Can’t say enough about the staff. From Llario to Leonardo and especially Matteo they answered every question with careful thought. We felt like family was taking care of us. Before we arrived they arranged a driver for us to get to our next destination. Not easy when you are traveling in a group of 7 with too many suitcases! If you are thinking of Pistoia then look no further than Palazzo 42."

This mountain villa was everything we could have dreamed of and more.Tucked into the mountainside, the property offers gorgeous, sweeping views but what truly sets this place apart is how lovingly it’s cared for. The gardens spill across tiered levels, and every morning I woke to the scent of jasmine drifting through my bedroom. It’s so quiet and tranquil...every morning I’d walk out barefoot into the grass and sip on my coffee while listening to the birds and watching the bees collect pollen from the lavender bushes (literally a dream)!!!And then there’s Cristina. Warm, gracious, and the very embodiment of Italian hospitality, she made sure our stay was unforgettable — from a wonderful cooking class to sharing the rich history of the property. Every detail was thought of.This place let us completely unplug and unwind. If that’s what you’re searching for, you won’t find anywhere more special. An unforgettable experience from start to finish."
