Arrived Jan 1 with no prior instructions how to get in the front gate. Called owner who told us to just wait as people come in an out all the time. He finally called a family member who lives there and they came and let us in. Jan 1 (think college football championship bowl games) and the TV had no ESPN or network channels available. Owner fixed this a few days later, but, of course, by then the games were over. Periodically throughout our stay the TV would not work. We had to unplug the router, wait a few minutes, plug it back in, wait a few more minutes, and hope the TV worked. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Kitchen was not very clean. Silverware and pots and pans had to be scrubbed before we could use them. Some of the sharp knives and the can opener had rust on them. We just went out and purchased our own.
Furniture throughout the unit was very uncomfortable. Pictures of the Lani on VRBO showed what looked like comfortable lounge chairs, but these were not present. They were replaced by some folding straight chairs and a metal folding table. Through no fault of the owner, the building is situated such that the Lani gets no sun whatsoever at any time of the day.
Bed in the second bedroom was extremely uncomfortable. We had guests a couple of nights and they couldn't sleep in the bed it was so bad. One of them had to move to the third bedroom. Sheets on the bed in the second bedroom did not fit the bed properly.
