The roof terrace was a bonus and the breakfast was good. The detractors were mainly down to the design of the hotel. The breakfast area on the top floor is minuscule with only 5 or 6 very small tables and the buffet essentially in a cupboard, so while the breakfast selection was good it was very awkward negotiating among other guests. Although the hotel wasn’t busy there was very little space at breakfast so don’t expect to be able to sit together if you’re in a group. The design of the rooms would also put us off returning unfortunately, and none of this was evident from pictures online. If you value any sense of privacy (especially if not sharing the room with a partner) then you will have an issue with the bathrooms. Between the rooms we had, the one with the most privacy had a very finely frosted glass door behind the bed that did nothing once the light was turned on in the bathroom. In the worst room, the shower enclosure was completely exposed to the entire room with no frosting and the toilet behind a loose fitting frosted door. All completely unnecessary and avoidable design decisions that would put many people off (including our group had we known). Overall the hotel is more design over function. We mostly enjoyed our stay but unlikely to return due to the above."
