« I stayed Monday to Friday as I was working in Whitehaven. Kitchen had everything I needed, bed was comfy, nice reclining sofasvand good wifi. House was well located, took a stroll to the castle in the evening and the co-op supermarket v. close, quite big and with a good selection. »

« Unfortunately our booked apartment accommodation was unavailable due to a gas leak. However, we were moved to a nice double room and given free breakfast to make up for this. We were also offered 50 % of dinner but the available dining slots were extremely limited so couldn't use that. It was a very comfy hotel, with a great shower, a pleasant mile walk to Keswick. I'd definitely stay again »

« Wir waren 2 Wochen auf der abgelegenen Farm und haben die Ruhe sehr genossen. Man hört natürlich gelegentlich die Schafe. Das Haus bietet ausreichend Platz und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten ist wunderschön. Bis nach Keswick fährt man ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Matthew, der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich. We spent 2 weeks on the outlying farm and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Of course you can hear the sheep occasionally. The house offers plenty of space and is lovingly furnished....

« We stayed at Beechmont in July with 13 people total. We have family which traveled from the Isle of Lewis, Family from the Midlands and we flew over from the USA. Lois is a fabulous host, accommodating, informative and very responsive. The property is well equipped for our large family and had plenty of space and rooms for everyone. It had games, fresh linens and the charm of the sheep and cows across the road “speaking” to us each morning. It is close enough to be the villages but also away...

« We really enjoyed our stay! The listing said it had a hot tub but when we arrived it didn’t. I read after that the external company listed it incorrectly. The only down side was the property wasn’t cleaned very well - old used contact lenses around the desk and bedside table and there was hairs on the bathroom shelf. I did a quick clean myself and throughly enjoyed the rest of our week the location was perfect and our lodge was next to the pond which was lovely. »

« We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended! »

« Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is. »
