"The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning."

"Disappointing experience . When I informed reception at 6.15 pm that we had no water for the bath or shower I was told there wasn't any maintenance available . So neither I or my wife could have a shower that evening or the next morning ( today ) . On check out I reminded the manager of this problem , but no redress or discount was offered ; until I asked for a discount . Even then the only discount offered was the removal of the service charge on the evening meal ( as this charge was discretionary I could have refused to pay it anyway ) . When paying £250 per night , the least that can be expected is running water !"

"The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning."

"We had a lovely 2 night stay here with friends during October half term. The house is really cosy (so well-insulated), comfortable and well appointed for a group gathering. There are comfy sofas, a large dining table and a well equipped kitchen. We loved the hot tub too and there are several bathrooms, including three en suite, so we never felt on top of each other as a group of 8\. Just be aware that the nearby London road can be busy at certain times and rather noisy if windows are open and the only other quibble is that this property only has double beds, not king sized. Otherwise, a fantastically comfortable stay and very well situated for Battle and other nearby attractions. Thank you. "
