![A few years ago we were in Alkmaar. Who think of Alkmaar, think Molen van Piet (and of course cheese). Strongly and vigorously, the monumental mill sets out above the surrounding city-building. This is where everyone knows the Netherlands, of course, the windmills. In the Limburg Heuvelland where I live, you mostly encounter watermills.

Piet's Mill is a typical city mill, beautifully situated on the Alkmaar Singel, where you enter the city from Kennemerstraatweg. With its majestic revolving wings, the mill attracts all the attention, not only from Alkmaar's own but also from the tourists who do Alkmaar.
The mill was built in 1769 and then served as a grain mill. Since 1993, the witches only run 'for the prince'.
The North Holland city of Alkmaar has two other mills, but I undoubtedly find it the most beautiful of the couple.

« Très bien placé à 1 minute de la place centrale. Tout se fait à pied, c'est calme. Mais il n'y a qu'un puits de lumière dans la chambre, pas de fenêtre pour voir l'extérieur. C'est horrible. Pas de possibilité d'occulter le jour si qqu'un dort dans le lit superposé. C'est nul. Et ça n'est pas un appartement hôtel, il y a juste un grand frigo congélateur mais pas de coin cuisine, pas de plaque, pas de four à micro-ondes, juste 1 bouilloire. Bref, c'est une chambre moche, sinistre, avec un...

« Ein sehr schönes Zimmer/Tiny House. Alles ist toll automatisiert, so ließ sich die Türe z. B. per App öffnen. Das Haus liegt direkt am Wasser und hat zu allen Seiten Fenster, durch die man den Sonnenuntergang sehen konnte. Morgens begrüßten uns viele Vögel. Die japanisch angehauchte minimalistische Gestaltung des Raums hat uns gut gefallen. Das kleine Bad ist gleichzeitig Kaffeeküche, sehr durchdacht und funktionierte einwandfrei. Trotz der niedrigen Außentemperaturen war es im Haus selbst schön...

« Excellente communication par mail et whatsapp Appart'hotel bien équipée avec tout ce qu'il faut dans la cuisine et les chambres. Deco moderne et appartement luminineux. Parking couvert sécurisé en option. Proximité avec le centre ville (2 arrêts de bus /12 min de la gare centrale) Par contre aucune option de restauration à proximité à part le café en bas de l'immeuble qui était fermé le jour de notre arrivée (25/12) Cependant, la propreté laisse à desirer surtout qu'on à payer 90 pour le ménage...
