I drove 12 hours to spend my 55th birthday with my daughter at this “resort.” We were told we were on the first floor, not even the 2nd or 3rd floor and that we had to go outside to reach our room. I paid over $200 a night for Unit 103. I walked inside and had tears in my eyes. There was a Walmart plastic bin for our belongings, no comforter for the bed or pullout sofa, seams falling off the shabby lamps, mismatched cheap and filthy furnishings you would not even purchase at a thrift store. No ocean view as promised. In fact, you couldn’t even see the beach. The outdoor bar was closed. The room had a Cheeto on the floor and hair from the last guest. I immediately complained. I was told I would have to wait. There were holes all over the Matress pad on the pull out. My daughter talked me into staying and I went and got groceries the next morning. I went to get a glass and the cabinet door literally fell off. I went back to the front desk with images. A manager came down and I showed him the disgusting images. He offered to have maintainence fix the problem that day and refund me one night. I agreed. By noon the next day when nothing was repaired I stopped a second manager. She said it would immediately be taken care of. Our belongings were still in suitcases on the floor as there was no appropriate place to keep them.
