Got a boat driver to pick me up right in front of the building instead of walking to the dock for Philae Island and back. After check out, I was also able to leave my luggage there all day so I could still site see before...

"The rooms need a refresh and the beds are hard, but they are kept clean. The did have a nice view of the Nile. The front desk and restaurant staff are helpful. But be mindful of arranging a taxi with the people that store luggage. The taxi they got us to the airport charged us $80 USA dollars. Thats after the driver tired to hustle us for way more. We paid $35 USA dollars from the airport to the hotel."

"The hotel, hotel room, and amenities are beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the couples massage that I had scheduled before our arrival. However, I had also reached out a month or two months in advance and asked them to decorate the room for our five-year anniversary, but they didn’t. Before spending a few nights in Cairo we stayed at the Hilton Resort and Spa in Luxor, and they set the bar high with swans made out of towels, hearts on the bed, and even gave us a heart-shaped cake for free. At Sofitel, we didn’t get anything and that was disappointing."
