The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked, and the owners even left homemade s’mores kits for us, which was such a cute touch and immediately made us feel like someone had planned our grown-up camping trip better than we had.One thing worth knowing: this probably isn’t the place for everyone. It’s truly off the grid, powered by solar with a backup generator, and it is SECLUDED. If your idea of vacation is water, fields, dogs, quiet, stars, s’mores, and not seeing another human unless you invited them… book it.Actually, don’t. Beautiful Bayfront with Sanctuary Private Beach

"This place is fantastic! Our family had a blast here. The beach was nice! Definitely bring the bug spray but for the most part it was just a few hours at dusk and mainly those greenhead flies on the beach. Wasn't a problem with a breeze off the water or a little fire in the fire pit. Read the reviews and we didn't have a problem with the fridge nice and cold and as for the well water.... If you haven't had it before I guess it could be a shock but after a day or 2 hardly noticeable and my kids didn't even notice. Lots of board games and seasonings and things if needed. The store is aways away but I'll take the peace and quiet and the stars over being close to a grocery store! The ac worked really well for the kid to have a cool down. Beautiful spot for sure with the water close, friendly waving neighbors, and lots of room for a variety of activities. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions and provided easy info for check in and check out. We will definitely be coming back!!"

"We took 2 rooms during a road trip, arriving close to midnight with our extended family of 6. We only stayed one night, mainly to rest, and overall it served that purpose very well. On the positive side, the place was clean, The beds were comfortable, and it was a very good value for money. We were able to get a good night’s rest after a long drive. The only downside was the noisy air conditioning, which made it a bit less comfortable during the night. Overall, it was a good short stay and met our basic needs for a stopover (at that budget price!)"
