Wonderful condo beautiful views

It was a great condo. At first there was an odd smell and the maintenance man came immediately to pour something down the kitchen drain. That fixed it.It was a great place.

Perfect Vacation

The unit was EXACTLY as advertised, even down to the kitchen towels and fridge magnets. It was the perfect central location, on the beach, but just a short walk to ice cream. Extremely clean, and very welcoming. Loved every minute. If I had to have a negative, they only give 1 roll of tissue per bathroom and one roll of paper towels. We have two toddlers, so these didn't last long. But the little grocery store on the island has both for cheap when we ran out.

Cute and convenient, but.....

The property itself was amazing! We love Dauphin Island and everything it has to offer. This condo was well stocked and had everything we needed in a great location. The problem was the cleanliness. It was HORRIBLE!!! There was food on dishes and sheets had not been changed since the previous guests. Hairs in the sheets and mascara on the pillows. We found extra sheets in the closet to change them with since we arrived so late on Saturday. Those sheets were even worse. Covered in dried mucus and boogers, like the previous guests were sick and just blew their noses on the covers. Not one set, but 3. Ridiculous. We arrived late on a Saturday so no one answered the number we were provided. We tried again Sunday, no answer "until normal business hours on Monday". We were stuck with having to buy cleaning supplies and deal with it ourselves. Also the master toilet was broken and we had to manually flush it by lifting the tank top. Really convenient with children. We called Monday morning to report, nothing was done, except asking if we wanted the toilet fixed, which we didn't want maintenance to come with small children there. We have called and emailed with many photos and no one has reached back out to us. The property is great, well stocked and would have been a perfect vacation spot, if it weren't for the disgusting cleaning. It's sad because I'm sure the owners have no idea that their "cleaning fee" really isn't paying for anything. Get a new housekeeper

Great get away.

The condo was clean and just the right size. I love the slower pace of the Island and the room you have on the beach and in the pool. No crowds to fight. The beaches are beautiful and we say lots of dolphins, crabs and other sea life. This was my 3rd trip to the Island and I look forward to returning. The Inn is a great place to stay and this condo is also awesome.

Great family location. Enjoyed the island! Could use some updates & a good cleaning!

We wanted to go to a destination where there wasn’t much to do, not tempting the kids with water parks and big putt putt places, just the beach and pool. This place for the bill. The condo complex is fine. Nothing fancy, just as described. I contacted the owner as soon as we arrived as the room was not cleaned - everything was covered in dust, dishes were dirty, there were old spills/urine around the toilet, etc. Once we showered in the master tub, the water drained extremely slow so I had to shower in standing water. Never got a response from the owner so I reached out to VRBO who got me in contact with the complex manager and they fixed the tub right away!!! They were very friendly as was the maintenance person. Overall I’d recommend this resort and this room but hopefully it gets cleaned. Check in was super easy & enjoyed having keyless entry. We really liked that it was small & several ppl we met actually live there & were very nice. Most people rent golf carts to ride around but they were sold out for our dates. We rented beach chairs from Chaise n Rays & I highly recommend them. NO hassle as they deliver and pickup directly to the beach & out your name on them & you can order online. Pirates pizza was delicious & so was island rainbow ice cream! The gas station & nearby dollar general were very sketchy at night so I’d recommend going before dark.

Definitely plan on booking again in the future

This was by far the prettiest unit in the whole Inn out of all the listings I viewed and felt much more updated. The decor is so lovely and comfortable, and everything felt clean (other than the top rack of the dishwasher struggles). And you can’t beat that ocean view. We stayed in the fall, so I don’t know what it would be like in peak times, but it was very quiet and peaceful. The beach access is amazing. The pools are beautiful, although it wasn’t warm enough outside for us to try them out. Loved being up on that floor and was grateful for the elevator and rolling carts to get luggage up and down. Had everything we needed in the kitchen except food, and it’s so much nicer staying in a place like this rather than a hotel where you can’t fix much of your own stuff or truly relax. The TV was a bit difficult to figure out, but we only used it a bit. We slept comfortably every night and felt safe and clean, with access to whatever we needed there or nearby. Greer’s Market about 20 min away was quaint and ideal for the few things we needed. Didn’t try out any local restaurants this trip, but maybe next time. This was also our first Dauphin Island experience, and it’s really a great location. We loved the bird sanctuary and Indian Shell Mounds Park, although we couldn’t find where to access the actual mounds. Otherwise, we hung out on the beach and relaxed inside, which was perfect. We just loved this unit and very much plan to return next year. It feels like someone cares about this place…that might sound silly having never met the owners, but we felt it. Very happy we chose to stay there and wish we’d booked one extra day.

Amazing

The stay was amazing. Everything was absolutely perfect for our anniversary getaway. The condo had everything we needed. The few items like toilet paper we got at the grocery store right off the island.

Dauphin Island Getaway

The condo we stayed in was wonderful. It faced the ocean and had comfortable seating on the balcony (something we really looked at when comparing properties!) The condo was very clean and well stocked with dishes, pans, linens and handy small items. We would recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit the island.

Cockroaches!!

Beautiful view, a lot of stupid rules before checking out like cleaning it and stripping beds and starting a load of laundry. 1 roll of toilet paper provided per bathroom. I did not get any access info prior to check in so I had to call the office. The lengthly check out rules and acess info then was emailed only hours before check in. We complained about the Giant cockroach found crawling across our floor to the manager he was not apologetic whatsoever and would not discount our stay. The beds and pillows are not great, only 1 extra blanket for 4 beds in the closet with lows in the 30's when we stayed.

As advertised

Pictures were true to what we found. Condo was excellent. Perfect for our family of four (kids ages 3 and 11). Clean, comfortable. Access to the beach was closer than the pictures make it seem. Pools were great. Beach was awesome. Not sure if its typical, but we had dolphin views multiple days. Very close to shore and super exciting. We will be back for sure!

Dauphin Island is Wonderful!

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Property was clean and well-maintained. Located directly on the beach with amazing ocean views. The whole island is quiet, laid back, peaceful, and very family-friendly. Covid-related employment issues, unfortunately, have affected many of the restaurants on the island (the same frustrations we encounter at home). The only negative (if I had to find something) is the fact that you have to haul beach equipment (tent, coolers, chairs, etc.) across a long boardwalk and over deep sand before you get down to the beach. However, this is a necessary inconvenience and brief. Lounging on the beach all day is the pay off! We will be back and we are already recommending Dauphin Island to family and friends.
