« The house was clean. All appliances in good working order. Check in was easy. Owner easy to communicate with. She even checked in with me to make sure I got home okay. She was great to work with. Will stay there again, if I am in the New River Gorge are. Located close to attractions and out door events. »

« Very cute, comfortable, and well put together cottage. Supplied with everything needed and some appreciated extras . Perfect location for all our hiking adventures from the south end to the north end of the park. Just 15 minutes from Bridge. Highly recommend the Bridge Walk! Hope to be back to the area with some friends and will stay at this cottage again! »

« Great location. Was perfect for us. Private, quiet. The kids were safe and happy to play outside. Some of games had things missing, this is just a mention. But fit our needs well. Would book again. »

« The little house was exactly as described. It was very cute, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and I’m picky about my bed! The train tracks are VERY close, but we enjoyed watching the trains go by. There were about 3 per night. The horns woke us but we were lulled back to sleep by the sound of the trains. The kitchen was well equipped but I suggest you bring your own spices if you plan to cook. The area is gorgeous and we were able to hike many trails throughout the park....

« We LOVED our stay! The house had everything we needed from spices in the kitchen to hot chocolate for my boys. The dog bed and dog toy were a bonus! This was our first family trip that we brought our pup with us, and I feel now he'll get to go on every vacation. The fenced in yard was great, the view from the yard/deck was wonderful. The owners gave us a bunch of recommendations from places to hike and where to eat. Everything was wonderful! »

« So close to the mountain, which is exactly what we needed for our family snowboard trip. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was spacious and comfortable. Only downside, closest grocery stores are 20ish minutes away so we survived on Dollar General and it worked out perfectly! Highly recommend you stay and experience all that Winterplace has to offer. »

« Extremely quiet and chill spot. One other tiny house and a couple RV hookups available, but no one else was on the property while I was there. Clean and had the kitchen extras for making my own food. Fridge has a small freezer on top, so that was super helpful. Only 15 mins from rafting companies. 10 mins from stores. I plan to stay here again when I'm in town for events. »

« This home was in perfect distance to all activities in the national Park area! Right in the middle of restaurants and a grocery store. The house was fantastic with all amenities. Owners were friendly and communication was great. If you are checking our West Virginia New River gorge area this is a place to stay! »

« We had such an amazing time at Penelope's place! We went to Winterplace and had some winter fun, saw lots of places in the New River Gorge National Park...the Bridge, Thurmond, Grandview, Cathedral Falls. Considering the spread out nature of the gorge, this was the perfect middle spot. The home is adorable. Check in was super easy, host was very easy to communicate with. « Lovely place to stay for a big group 6-8 and a pet (the pet ended up staying home). 4 bedrooms for adults and 1 for a child, would recommend the pull out bed downstairs if an adult was to use the child bedroom. Beautiful historic details. Many TVs but we didn’t use them much for our getaway and played board games. Ping pong table was a fun addition, corn hole available but we brought a frisbee and the backyard was wide enough. Firepit looked lovely but it rained the whole weekend. The whole...

« My family thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cute little house in a quiet hilly neighborhood not far from New River gorge. It was extremely clean and really nicely decorated. The kids loved the basement cam room, the hot tub, and the fire pit which has tons of firewood available. The linens and coffee and popcorn station were all very nice. I was surprised for the EV charger for our car which worked out perfect. »

« This almost didn't happen because there was a storm that took the power out. But, fortunately, the power was on and we were able to have 2 nights there. It has so much character. It was clean and located close to the New River Gorge for us to commute back and forth. Tiffany was wonderful to communicate with us and she and Kevin gave a quick history lesson of the place. »
