"Very clean and quiet, perfect stay. "

"I was able to book a room, check in, and check out without talking to another person. I was fine with that, but some people may want more of a personal touch. The room was clean. However, the room smelled like sewer for most of the night, only fading when we took a shower. The refrigerator in the room did not work, spoiling our leftovers. It was quiet, most likely because the hotel was fairly empty. The breakfast in the morning was included but not good. Pancakes made by a robot, did not taste right. Eggs and sausage were fine, same with the cereal. Coffee and pastries were bad. Serviceable as a place to stop off to go to sleep but I would not recommend as a place to stay for multiple nights. It is about a 7 minute drive to Mount Rushmore which was convenient, and there are lots of quotes from Teddy Roosevelt for you to enjoy. 2/5 stars"

"This property is truly special and an incredible opportunity to have serenity. The hot tub at the edge of the canyon is so unique and special. The grilling station, picnic table, and deck are all first class. The home has been stocked with all of the necessary amenities. The dining room table is wonderful to enjoy the view while enjoying a meal. The stars on a clear night fill the sky with very little distractions. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys nature, privacy, and doesn't mind a long ride on a dirt road. "

"The cabin was just perfect for the 2 of us and our dog, and the location in Custer State Park was just what we were looking for, in a weekend visit. The hiking trail on the property was a great surprise and the view was spectacular. Deb, our host, was so friendly and accommodating. We had a great time exploring the black hills, including the Custer Wildlife Trail and the Needles Highway. "
