Dated but the space worked. Fully stocked kitchen. Side sliding door facing front of house does not lock. Nice outdoor eating area. There was sand on the sofa and dust under the TV. Overall I would book again. So close to the beach!

A definite no. In all the years we’ve been coming to the Outer Banks, this was the most expensive and least desirable homes we’ve stayed in. We had two families: 10 total guests and 2 dogs. As a whole, we are an easy going group who is just happy to be at the beach and reluctant to complain but this one we couldn’t let go. This home was a huge disappointment. From the time you pull up to the property and see it’s unkept outside to the dirty, dated and lack of ease in living quarters on the inside, this house was just the worst. There was a mound of old outside furniture sitting at the curb all week. The car port was filthy with leaves and debris in the corners. The pool and hot tub were so uninviting/dirty that the adults avoided using them. The indoors weren’t any better: doors that wouldn’t close or open properly, dishes left in the dishwasher from prior guests, dirty toilets, dust filled vents, dusty dirty floors, sandy sheets, poorly appointed kitchen without a big pot to steam crabs and uncomfortable mattresses. Pack an iron if you care for one because you’ll find an ironing board but no iron. The only positive thing we can say for this property is its location to the beach and shops. It’s a definite no in our books. It’s like this place gets rented like crazy and no one bothers to put the time into it to make it feel like that home away from home beach house. I have no idea how it got an 8/10 rating. I’d give it 3/10.

The property was dust and dirty. Fecal matter splashes on toilet, dog hair, visible dirt-dust under the raised bed, tv cabinet, ice scooper had visible dirt, ceiling fan was full of dirt, kitchen sink was dirty and a pan was in cabinet with egg residue and lots of it. There was a hunt for toilet paper scattered in several different bathrooms. Screened in porch table and chairs had tons of pollen. Also some time of small chigger bugs. Sewer flies appeared on day 2. We were disappointed for the first time ever with a VRBO rental. I took pictures if you want them.
