Beautiful Country Farm home to many rescue animals

  • This beautiful custom built French Cottage style home is located on a farm with 10 acres. Land adjoins Genesee County Parks property with direct access to the Holloway Reservoir and miles of trails and waterways. Walk the trail to the water or bring your water toys and enjoy this gorgeous, unique home. The kitchen is a cooks dream, the views are magnificent from every window. The master bath has a two person Jacuzzi tub and king sized bed with private sitting room. There are 2 wood burning fireplaces, large front covered porch and a massive deck. Situated on a farm with friendly animals to watch and enjoy. Fish, hike, boat, canoe, or just enjoy the wonderful company you will undoubtedly want to bring with you to experience this great country adventure. Close to Frankenmuth, Birch Run and 90 minutes from Detroit, this could become your home away from home for a week end or a week. Our low introductory pricing enables you to experience this lovely setting while we continue to work on the exterior of the home and farm property doing some updating and neglected maintenance. There are several beaches and boat landings for fishing, boating and swimming. We also have some yard toys including badminton, horseshoes, kayaks, etc. PLEASE FILL OUT THE RENTAL AGREEMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY and return it. Blank rental agreement does not constitute a "Reserved" date.

We enjoyed our stay so much. We were in town for a funeral and it was so nice to watch all of the animals during our sad time. There was plenty of room for our family to visit and play games together. The host was very accommodating and good communication. Such a beautiful house. We loved everything about it

Gathered over the thanksgiving weekend to host family. It was wonderful. Outdoors offered animals and adventures. Inside was comfortable and great for a large gathering. Wonderful home and setting. Huge kitchen and open living area. Perfect for cooking and entertaining.

This property was great for a family to stay and enjoy each other. I have stayed at many other places and have never had a kitchen so well stocked. We cooked every night and never had trouble finding what we needed. The animals made us smile everyday. I could not have asked for a better place.

Home Away from Home

Maurine was wonderful. She was always available to answer questions. Her home is beautiful and so comfortable. This was a unique opportunity to interact with all of the rescue animals that are all so well cared for. We are looking forward to staying again in the future. 50th Birthday on the farm

Maurine was a fantastic host! Her farm was everything as described and it provided the perfect getaway for friends celebrating a 50th birthday. The home was beautiful and had everything needed…the eclectic decor added to the charm! The animals were so fun to watch and you never knew who was going to greet you when you walked out.

Family Vacation 2023

Maurine was wonderful, the kids learned so much and we enjoyed ourselves so much we are going back next year. This was such a interesting vacation, being one with the animals. If you want a vacation that is a bit different, I highly recommend a stay here.

Great stay on the Farm

What a sweet find. Couldn't have been any nicer! The farmhouse was perfect and all the rescue animals were wonderful. Realize this property might not be for everyone but for our extended weekend we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Maurine was wonderful to work with and everything was perdect from beginning to end.

Perfect place for a planning retreat

A church staff planning retreat for our Christmas events for next year. It was the perfect place and everything we needed. Love also the animals and while it was bitter cold and snowing all week not just the view was incredible but the animals were still all around the property. It was a winter wonderland and wonderful animals just made it that much better. Its definitely a place we can highly recommend.

Perfect Setting for Thanksgiving

Loved our weekend

I rented this beautiful home for my wedding weekend, as our venue was close to the home, my guest and I had a great time here, the animals were great we really enjoyed them and I think they enjoyed all the pets we gave them , mourine was lovely and super helpful, it truly was just awesome, comfy beds pleanty of room, everything you need for a relaxing stay , just what we needed , thank you mourine for a great stay.

We (family of 8) can't get over how much we loved this place. The house is beautiful, it does show the charachter of an old wise woman! The animals are so fun, so loving, very theraputic and you just want to love them all. Maureen was wonderful to work with.

Perfect Place for the Event

The property is fairly remote, which, to me, is especially nice! It was very welcoming and cozy. Maurine is a wonderful hostess meeting our needs and offering horse rides for my two grandkids. I was here for my dad's funeral. So, all the animals and comfort of the home were very nice. I loved our stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful place.

The number and variety of animals is not emphasized enough. They're literally everywhere. We loved it. We were entertained enough just staying there at the property. The house is huge and very comfortable and there are nice big porches all around the house. The kitchen is enormous and open to the rest of the house so dinner was fun. The river is a short walk through the woods from the back of the property and there's a little dock with a bench perfect for fishing. Our host was very kind and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer. I really enjoyed it.

Very pleasant and relaxing

Everything about our stay was pleasant and relaxing. The property adjoins county property with direct access to the river for fishing. The animals at the farm were enjoyable to watch, and even the ones that ran loose didn't interfere with the use of the yard for games and relaxing. We would definitely considering staying again.

Perfect - Even Better Than Hoped For!!

Such a great property! My kiddo was in heaven with all the friendly animals (we were too)! And the house - is Amazing! So many beautiful areas to sit and visit - inside and out! The beds were comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing. Maurine was extremely responsive, friendly and helpful! The extra thought with the shampoo and conditioner, plenty of linens, condiments in the fridge (on top of a fully stocked kitchen!), the firewood. It felt like a family member had prepared ahead for us to visit. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future! So highly recommended!

Very relaxing place to stay. Nine of us from 18 years to 70 years, we all enjoyed walking around and visiting with the animals. The star of the show was certainly Tina, the goat. She visited the front porch often. If we weren’t there to give her immediate attention, she would often just relax in the chair till we got there. We also walked back to the water a couple times. Saw several deer and a bench to watch the water. Clean and comfortable. Well stocked kitchen for fixing meals.
