"We are a family of seven and stayed at Novotel Köln City for a week. We had two room and unfortunately they were on two different floor. The rooms both had a large double bed and a sofa bed. They had a small fridge and a safe. There were a few English channels and it was possible to change the dubbed voices to original English. The rooms were cleaned daily, unless the do not disturb sign was on the door."

"Hotel is centrally located. Very busy when we checked in. Property and facilities is as you expect from Hilton so fairly uniform affair which much individual character and feeling a little dated. Staff were efficient and polite without being overly warm/friendly. Underground parking was convenient, if a little steep in price (but expected) and spaces a little tight. Rooms were spacious with all the usual amenities. Surprised it did not have a swimming pool for a 5 star hotel. Breakfast had a wide selection including freshly made omelet and eggs. Overall, recommended if you want the convenience of m staying centrally in Köln with the familiarity of the Hilton chain, less so if you are looking for somewhere a bit of character or individual service."

"We were in adjacent Cathedral view rooms (4 travellers). One was a reasonable size but the other was a bit small eg. couldn't open wardrobe door and bathroom door at the same time!). But manageable and the cathedral view was slightly blocked by a police station (so very safe area!), it was worth it seeing the twin spires every day. Breakfast was the same daily but sufficient choices available with different types of bread, cheese, and cold meat. Excellent location, walking distance form almost everywhere worth visiting. Lots of eating out places including about 4 brewery restaurants."

"Late checkout can only be determined the morning of checkout and not requested before. I wouldn’t call this a 4 star hotel as it likes to show outside, but it was clean overall. I had minor issues with the TV not being able to access YouTube. No coffee or tea maker in room, but mini fridge had water and beer for sale€2.90+. Breakfast buffet was good with many bread options and pancakes."

"Everything was fine except one important item - the windows and the heat. The windows were locked so they could only tilt in and not fully open (It stated this as a safety feature). As a result, our room got very warm and was almost impossible to sleep at night. However, from the terrace, I noticed on the last day that some windows did swing fully open. Not sure why or how they did open such a way, but if it was much hotter in the area, the rooms would be impossible to sleep in. Otherwise, the location, staff, amenities and other guests were superb!"

"Good clean hotel with very helpful staff. Drinks available at reception .be good to have a small frig in room.excellent location if going to Live Music Hall. Only a 15 minute walk to town/train station/restaurants.couple of good pizza place close by"
