« Communication was great from the initial booking. Spacious, clean, and very private. Great accommodations and up to date appliances/furniture. Canoe is a lovely addition that we took pretty far down the river to explore. Would absolutely return and recommend to others! »

The house is also in a great location, both quiet and very close to attractions and shopping. It's a great choice for a trip to Williamsburg and Jamestown. « We never got to stay at the property because Expedia never posted the booking and it is impossible to contact Expedia to resolve any type of issue. I wouldn't recommend that anyone use that site to book a reservation. We were traveling and was 3 hours from home and was turned away from the resort because Expedia had not given the information to the resort. We had to find last minute accommodation and are still trying tl get our money back. »

The owners are very communicative and set up the sleeping arrangements perfectly. It’s ideally situated to do all the fun things around and we would definitely stay here again! »

« Cottage très propre et bien confortable avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Une vue fabuleuse sur le fleuve, une plage privée, un calme absolu, des balbuzards pêcheurs comme spectacle journalier.... Seuls points négatifs: salle de bain/ toilette vraiment petite, par contre fonctionnant très bien. Et les lits faisaient 130 cm de large( après vérification!)... Un peu étroit pour des couples. Malgré cela, nous avons passé une très bonne semaine, vraiment ressourçante et dépaysante! »

« The little red Barn was beautiful. The owners really went above and beyond creating this little oasis and putting every thoughtful touch in to the property, including hand crafted goodies. The house was so beautiful inside, we didn't want to go outside! Even though this is a dog-friendly property, you'd never know dogs have stayed here. « We had a wonderful time. Lots to do on property for grandkids not just the pool. The staff was amazing and supplied everything we needed. The house had plenty of space and room for 6 adults and 4 kids. Very clean and big bedrooms and lounging areas. Everything you need is close by. We look forward to our return visit. »

« We were only visiting for 4 days, but we enjoyed the home. It was close in proximity to the various attractions in Williamsburg-I was traveling with young teens and the bedrooms were perfect, the property is well maintained and clean with all the amenities represented in the write up. »

We enjoyed the art and especially the antiques that Cliff and Joy used to make the home feel authentically 18th century.
