The Victoria Hotel

"This was our second stay here as loved the hotel & area before. This time we stayed for 3 nights. On our 2nd night we ate in the restaurant, unfortunately, when our starters were taken away, it seems the young lady forgot our drinks order & forgot to tell the kitchen we were waiting for our main course. After 20 minutes had to ask for our drinks again, then after 50 minutes, we had to ask again for our main course. We did get one of the meals free as an apology. Apart from this, the food was delicious & the Cavery on the 3rd night was Devine. The staff were friendly & helpful. Especially a lady called “Rosario” we feel she went above and beyond. At Breakfast there was a big choice of cooked food & a cold selection where you could help yourself. There is seating out the front & back which we made the most of & weather was lovely. Room was clean, and had all the usual complementary bits. Would definitely still stay here again."

"We had a 'cozy' room, meaning tiny, but it was nicely furnished with a TV and nice bathroom with a strong shower. The receptionist staff was friendly and helpful, pointing out the happy hour at the bar. 2 for 1 deal plus a cheese plate. The hotel is centrally located with parking behind ( parking in Canterbury is expensive). Very close to the town center and restaurants. Decent breakfast choices. The 14th century building successfully marries old and modern."

"This was what you would expect for a three star hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a nice outlook and a comfortable bed but the decor was a bit tired. The breakfasts were good and cooked to order. The evening menu could be more descriptive as it was not clear exactly what was included."

"Central location, perfect for exploring the city on foot, and easy access from the train station Room was clean with hot shower, towels and toiletries, and kettle with tea/coffee: all we needed for an overnight stay after a wedding reception. Sanjeewa made us very welcome and helpfully let us store luggage after check-out. A varied continental breakfast was a great start to the day. Thank you Sanjeewa"

"We had an amazing week at Plumcot Halt: * Accommodation was modern, comfortable, exceptionaly clean & had everything you needed for self-catering. The garden area is beautiful, & tranquil. * Hosts are the most welcoming, friendly & helpful couple that you could ever wish to meet, nothing is too much trouble should you need to ask for hints & tips on the local area, while at the same time making you feel like you're staying in your own private little world. * The location is quite & great for exploring Canterbury & everything around it. * We wouldn't hesitate in recommending & we would definitely stay here again when we're next in the area."
