Really nice vibe, kind of a weird smell in the common areas and hallways, and a little noisy at night, but otherwise a really great location, superb price, very easy and convenient

Great set up and everything was easy. Short walk to Clinton/Blue line. Walls/floor/ceiling are indeed thin but if you’re prepared for that, it’s well worth it to have the two bedrooms and all of its conveniences. Would definitely stay in a Sonder again!

While the location is great and the unit itself was nicely decorated and clean, the lack of sound barrier between rooms was shocking. Unfortunately my neighbors kept late night hours and I could hear every single conversation, phone call, music, and "adult" activity all night long. If you like to sleep at night, I'd avoid this property.

We loved the space, very clean, great amenities, looks like a perfect combo of a cozy apartment and a hotel room. The only problem is that it’s not very soundproof, and you can hear people using restrooms or showering in the neighboring rooms. But would definitely stay again!

Only real issue was no late night (after 9) dining options. I got in later than expected & couldn't find even a fast food joint open after 9. Settled for 7-11 Pizza.

Sonders are always clean and efficient and this one was that, but this one isn't the best. Units in the Burnham are renovated but they have old ceilings made of wood which do not prevent noise transfer. They gave me a unit on the second floor and I could hear almost everything the person above me said or did. Sometimes when that person walked, the glasses in my unit slightly vibrated and you'd hear clinking.

Amazing location, safe & secure, gym access and stoarge access for late check out, amazing kitchen accessories - exhaust fan was not working properly inside bathroom, bed could have been more comfortable, water pressure was bit low.

Sonder the Burnham was an excellent stay for us. We were able to park on the street in front of the building free! Although there was a parking lot right behind the building with reasonable parking as well. The room was very nice, bed was comfortable, and the kitchen area fully stocked. It was close enough to everything downtown to walk if you’re up for it, but just far enough away to not be in the thick of it. Would definitely recommend and will stay again next time we are in Chicago. Just know the only tv viewing option is streaming so be sure to have your account passwords ready.

The apartment was clean and conveniently located. The mattress needs to be replaced because it was like sleeping in a hammock. The elevator was not working for the first day of our stay but it was quickly repaired and the communication was superb.

The facility is nice, but the room we were assigned was right beside an alleyway. During the night exhaust fans from the building in proximity to the large window of our unit emitted a high pitched noise that made it difficult to sleep. Although the instructions said there is no smoking in the building, at least 3 out of 5 days we were there, smoke could be detected in the hallway right within our front door. There is no coat rack or anywhere to hang coats or other clothing especially on cold and rainy days. The fridge was new and had an ice maker, but it did not work when turned on.

Perfect for a small family
Easy to get in and out. Very clean. Parking lots all over. We found one right behind the building and parked our large car there for 3 nights $62. Good location.

I’m familiar with the area, so I knew where to find groceries. Area might be safe during the day, but in any big cities one needs to stay aware of what is going on around them. The washer dryer was complicated. I tried using Sonder app to find instructions, but I was never able to find the instructions. The Sonder/Burham was mostly quiet except for a couple nights. I don’t think that one guest realized what all I could hear.

It was super clean, cozy, quiet, easy check-in, very close to the Union Station, cafes, grocery, Greektown. Lovely building, great design. Gym. the room was lovely. The stove, dishwasher, and washing and drying machine. Thank you sonder staff! I loved my stay, and would stay again!!!!

The room was clean and comfortable. Accessibility and parking was easy. The entrance to the building is DIRTY and unappealing. Front door area had not been swept for the entire stay. Windows in were filthy - looks like they had never been cleaned.

Price and location were very good. Room was "rustic" with old brick walls but full kitchen a plus for long term stays. Bed was very comfortable. . Location was noisy in early morning, esp. east side (fire trucks, garbage pickup - need sound deadening windows. Sound comes through floor from above and walls - carpet, insulation? Tap water had an off-taste. Light switches poorly placed. Need 15# and 20# dumbbells.

Great Location for travelling without a car!
Great location in relation to the train depot and El Station. You can connect to any of the el lines from the Clinton station and be at all parts of the city. The apartment was very nicely equipped with everything needed for a short or long stay. We had a little trouble initially entering the building but quickly became acclimated to the process. When we had questions, phone calls were answered promptly and issues resolved. Only negative we could see was that there was no chair or sofa to relax on, only the bed and a bench next to the table.

The rooms are great and well kept but the building is not sound proofed and you will hear your neighbors above and beside you very clearly, even if they’re just having normal volume conversations. The customer service was exceptional and helped us switch rooms but unfortunately we had the same issue after we were moved. Not ideal if you’re planning on taking naps or relaxing during the day.
