Our stay was extremely disappointing and far below acceptable standards. There was no toilet paper, bathroom hand-soap or paper towels provided. The HVAC intake vent was filthy, the shower and washing machine both had mold, and we found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. Towels, furniture and mattresses are stained and smelly. We booked for our family of 6 but there was not enough plates/bowls/cutlery for everyone. The back room looks like it’s separating from the building, with large ceiling and floor gaps; the entry stairs were loose and dangerous, cluttered with ladders, mops and miscellaneous items. The bathroom sink faucet is not connected to the sink and the toilet seat was broken. The dishwasher isn’t bolted in and tips forward when the door is opened. The coffee pot had grounds from whenever the last stay was - completely covered in mold. None of the TV remotes had batteries, and several dishes in the cupboard were dirty.There are roof problems such that pieces of the roof dangle in front of the windows and animals in the ceiling at night. Overall, the property was not clean, not maintained, and not stocked with basic essentials. Maybe it’s under some kind of construction project? I have photos of all items mentioned as well as other problems. Because of the number of issues and the condition of the home, I am requesting a refund. We have used other vacation rental providers, this was our first Vrbo and we will not do it again.

Overall, this is a nice large space with some serious maintenance issues. The previous reviews obviously made me concerned about the condition of the home but the reality was even worse. The most urgent issue is that there is a lot of missing grout between the tiles in the shower and clearly there is mold growing out of control behind the tiles and is spreading throughout the whole house. We opened the windows a crack, adjusted the furnace fan to run nonstop, and wore masks in the evening (when the mold spores were most intense), and took allergy medication to avoid the intense allergy attacks. Additionally, there was a substantial amount of mold growing in the washing machine gasket which we attempted to clean out to reduce the overall mold but the mold is deep in the rubber. This made the washer unusable due to the strong odor. The mold situation must be dealt with as soon as possible as it is a health hazard! Additionally, the streaming apps on the TVs do not work. To be able to stream content we needed to use a laptop connected via hdmi cable. The router was also very weak and we sometimes needed to buffer content in the dinning room before moving the computer to the living room to watch on the tv. When we arrived the hot water heater was turned off. When I contacted the hosts I received prompt instructions on how to turn it on in the basement. However, when I had issues with the internet the host was less than responsive.There were no batteries in the smoke detector

Literally everything was broken- the drawers, the beds, the tap… everything. The matresses looked like Dahmer has been there. The neighborhood is lovely and safe though. But this house needs some urgent repair

We were very disappointed and frankly extremely discouraged by your rental. I don’t know you at all but we have rented literally hundreds of places all over the world and have a lot of experience with them. Your flat has a lot of great potential, large, bright, sunny and in a great location. The rental however is a complete dump. I didn’t have the time to see/read/review the one review that another guest wrote—however after I did, I can see that they were spot on in everything they wrote. Please note that I have been in constant communications with VRBO management about your rental and the condition of the place. I sent them a link the first morning we arrived that contains time/date stamped photos showing all the defects in the apartment as well as the many problems.The flat was filthy with so much wrong and broken that I found it pretty shocking to be honest. Your listing stated something very weird about “toilet treats and 3-days”. That doesn’t make any sense I any world that live in. But what I do know is that after traveling a cross-country flight, arriving late at night finding out that the front door access is broken and we have to navigate dangerous back stairs with no lights, trying to access a lock that is so rusted the key barely goes in or turns properly. After arrival we found no toilet paper, no soap, no shampoo, to Kleenex, no paper towels and no coffee maker. It was a dump.

Disgusting, Unsafe, and Dishonest — We Left After One NightThis rental was an absolute disaster from the moment we walked in. It was filthy — clearly not properly cleaned between guests. The fridge still had food from the previous occupants and was visibly dirty. The dishwasher hadn’t been emptied and was full of damp dishes, like we were supposed to finish the last guest’s chores. On top of that, towels were left wet in the dryer. Basic cleanliness was nonexistent.One of the bed frames was broken, so the mattress sagged noticeably to one side — completely unusable. The walls were covered in scuff marks, adding to the overall neglected, run-down feel of the place.Even worse, the keypad on the front door was falling apart. The batteries were literally hanging out the back. Had we not noticed, we could’ve been locked out entirely — a major safety issue the host should have addressed before we arrived.The bathroom? No toilet paper. No hand soap. When we asked, the host claimed toiletries are only provided for bookings under 3 days. But the kicker? You can’t even book for less than 4 days. So basically, no one ever gets any essentials — clearly a dishonest policy.We booked this place for 4 nights. We left after the first night. That’s how bad it was. VRBO should seriously reconsider de-listing this property until the host gets their act together.Stay away.
