Able to walk to beach and navy pier. Honestly left car in parking garage for 3 days. Really good restaurants on the block. Chicago dog stand at beach. And again beach was straight walk from hotel. THE VIEW!!! We watched boats while going to bed city's view was breathtaking.

The check-in desk was not on ground floor. Would be helpful to have a person in the ground floor to direct you. It was not difficult to figure out, but weary travels could benefit from having a person on the ground level.

We had to move rooms twice because the rooms were dirty and smells moist/humid. First room both beds has dirty sheets/covers. 2nd room had same smell, one bed had old blood on the covers, bathroom was not cleaned properly. Someone else’s hair was on the shower walls. Staff was nonchalant about just coming in and cleaning. We were VERY unsatisfied by our stay.

Very dated building. It looks like it was an apartment building of sort. Blinds on window facing the hallway not safe. People can see inside. Bathroom tub has old stains (too much usage). Shower head broken. People in the next room screaming on the hallway and in their room and making houling sounds like wolves. Very scary moments we thought they were having a fight or domestic violence or else. Nice elevators. Entrance to the building (foyer before the elevatora to the check in floor) very creepy and old with scary looking people hanging out. People at checking with very unhappy faces not even reacting to any of our friendly works. Professional yes. Warm no. Very strange place but near most attractions in downtown. Very expensive for such a old dated and creepy place (more than $300 per night for two people). We were valet parking was available. Well that didnt happen since there was sign indicating “no valet parking”. We will never again stay at this hotel. And we love Embassy Suites when we travel. In fact after Chicago we went to Grand Rapids in Michigan to another Embassy Suites and what a difference! Our Grand Rapid stay was outstanding in an amazing building with great parking and services.

No valet parking. No room service. (We tried they never answered then we contacted front desk they said they’d call us, they did 1 1/2 hrs later but we had already had to go down to the restaurant to eat. Only one cup in our room so had to go get more toiletries and required things property is supposed to have provided. The host was rude, the front desk was rude. Did not receive all amenities paid for. I’ll never come back. STAY AWAY

Embassy suites is usually my go to. There are two in downtown Chicago. I was a little disappointed with this one in particular. The carpets were dirty and sticky. When you sat on the sofa is sunken the bathroom could’ve been better maintained. I was a little disappointed With the breakfast, it was all cold. When we went for the social hour, they were chips and dip. Which was very different than when I stayed at the other embassy suites again is downtown. Location ultimately we had a good time but moving forward, I would probably choose the other downtown site.

Location, location, location. So centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Nice breakfast and the pool was fun. It’s an older hotel and not all of the amenities have been updated.

We are new to visiting Chicago, so we didn’t understand the parking or streets very well, but we figured it out. The hotel was good. The pull out couch wasnt comfortable at all, but it worked for the one night we stayed. The view was nice of the city.

Room wasn’t cleaned properly. Hair was all over the place. Tub and toilet were rusty. And the cherry on top was no towels replenished in our room 🙂 our suite was for four guests, but there was enough towels for one person. Had to find housekeeping on our own for more towels.

Embassy made a mistake and had us in an accessible room and asked if we wanted to switch since they knew it was their mistake. We agreed and the guy told us we had an upgrade to a premium suite, but it was anything but premium; it was on the 2nd lowest floor and other than a pretty nice view from bedroom (where we sleep with curtain closed, the room was dark and dingy—-we were stuck in a dirty, dark corner where there is NO LIGHT coming through the living room window and we weren’t able to see the great architecture of hotel interior and 10x brighter main area that almost every other room faced. Then, there was literally no food to buy in hotel when we arrived without eating dinner—-no pantry and not even a candy bar for sale in the entire hotel. Then we noticed that we were supposed to get complimentary snacks in our premium suite (remember we were upgraded?) and I was told that we didn’t pay for premium so no snacks and that it wasn’t really an upgrade since we didn’t pay for it—-what a joke!!! She told me to order food at 12:30am or go to bed (literally). Next, it takes me about 2 hours to connect to hotel wifi and then it worked well. What else? Sofa bed pulled out to within inches of a foxed table and I cut my leg trying to squeeze by (no joke). Biggest problem is that there were loud noises every morning that woke us up way before we wanted to get up. We could hear a TV from room next door or above and there was a very loud banging noise firat 3 days; it was a bad stay
