We had an absolutely fabulous experience!! The view was even better than in the photos… with an amazing sunrise, sunset, view of the city, and view of Lake Michigan. The apartment was immaculate and very well stocked….. from spices to tissues to Q-tips. We did plenty of walking in the city, but if you needed more of a workout, the building was equipped with a gym, a swimming pool, and an outdoor track. It also had a library and complimentary Starbucks. It was within walking distance to all the attractions Chicago is known for, and the street was lined with wonderful restaurants/entertainment. James and Jeri-Lou’s attention to detail and commitment to providing their guests a positive experience, coupled with the outstanding unit 50 floors up, made a memorable stay. The detailed instructions they provided about picking up “The Bag” and how to use its contents were VERY helpful. The doormen were friendly and knowledgeable. As we entered our romantic retreat, we were greeted by a personalized message on the TV screen welcoming us to this paradise in the sky. Nice touch! The unit was clean and fresh smelling. The furniture and furnishings were as advertised, with the appliances, cookware, dishes, linen, silverware, etc., all consistent with a unit of this caliber. The location, near the Chicago River, made it easy for us to get out and explore and indulge in famous eateries, like Gibson’s Italia and Robert’s Pizza Company. It was beautifully decorated and well stocked with supplies. The location was perfect. We were able to walk south to the river for an architectural boat cruise and a Frank Lloyd Wright tour starting at the Rookery and north to 360 Chicago for other great views at sunset and night. There were wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby. We highly recommend the Chicago Chop House. We had such a great time that we stayed an extra night! Our first time in Chicago. We stayed six days and still only got to fraction of the historic and fun places! Everything.... the size, location, views, amenities, cleanliness, and service was perfect. So appreciated. Really enjoyed being so close to the red line. We spent our days traveling around the city seeing the sites and visiting museums. Then arriving home to our quiet apartment and relaxing with that view of the lights of Chicago. I highly recommend this place. Upon arrival after dark, we walked into the condo and were stunned at the Chicago view from the 50th floor through floor to ceiling windows/sliding glass doors! It never disappointed. A well stocked kitchen right down to the spices, detailed instructions on operating all equipment, current magazines describing the pulse and happenings of Chicago, well appointed furnishings, lots of closet space. Hotel staff in the lobby couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and the location put almost everything within walking distance ( or a short Uber ride). When we couldn't figure out how to access our streaming service on the TV, the condo owner actually came to the site to walk us through set up. Service like that is not the norm! Communication with the owner was easy and instructions were clear. The property was exactly as described and immaculately clean. The neighborhood is wonderful, and we felt completely safe. We walked everywhere and enjoyed many of the nearby restaurants and pubs. Although it was cold in Chicago during our stay, we loved standing on the balcony to watch the beautiful sunsets. Actually, we spent a lot of time on the balcony, despite the cold, because the view from the 50th floor was so fabulous. But if you like to sleep in, either bring a mask to cover your eyes or book one of the other apartments with a fully separate bedroom. As shown in the photos, this is more of a studio with a doorway but no door on the bedroom. There is a wall of windows in the living room, and the blinds do not block the light fully, which makes the bedroom bright. ##### Deon L. The apt is well equiped with all the ammenites and supplies to make your stay a comfortable and relaxing one. The chairs and the bed are very comfortable. Our very nice hosts, Jeri-Lou and James, were readily available by phone or text to answer any questions we had. As first time visitors to Chicago, we couldn't have picked a more perfect place. The penthouse is centrally located, with many nearby dining options, and an exceptional grocery store(+) just downstairs from the apt. We walked 10 min from the apt to the Michigan Ave dock, to take a fun and informative Chicago architectural cruise tour. We visited the Art Institute of Chicago, The Navy Pier, a White Sox game, and Ukranian Village. We had such a great time visiting Chicago, and our stay at the penthouse was one of the highlights of the trip. We highly recommend this penthouse for your visit to Chicago. ##### Paul M. The check process was super easy with the doorman. We arrived earlier than check in time and he doorman gladly watched our bags for us and then took down our info to let us know if the unit would be available earlier than 4pm. The location of the building was perfect for all of our DT Chicago sightseeing. We were able to walk to all of the activities we had planned except for the Cubs game. For that, we were able to hop on the red line which was steps from the building entrance. We got to the stadium in under 20 minutes from leaving the apartment. The views from the apartment were spectacular being on the 50th floor. The sunsets were amazing. Communication with the owner through text was extremely fast. We had a light bulb go out in the kitchen and it was fixed very quickly. The unit itself was perfect for my wife and me. It has everything you need to cook full meals. The in unit washer/dryer was a huge plus. We were able to do all of our laundry before leaving making unpacking when we got home a breeze. All the detergent for the washer along with the dishwasher was included. Additionally, the jewel oso on the street level was literally the next door over from the apartment building entrance giving us access to anything we could possibly need to buy.
