With a cozy living room, a beautiful kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms, and a covered deck with a hot tub and incredible views, you’ll never want to leave. Living Spaces After a day of adventure at the lake, sink into a comfy couch in the living room and catch up on the back deck. Or cozy up on a bench by the fireplace – it’s the perfect place to read a book! If you’re feeling a little more interactive challenge the family to a game of foosball or our fun built-in Connect 4\. Kitchen & Dining With beautiful hickory cabinets and granite countertops, our fully-stocked kitchen has stainless steel appliances and everything needed to prepare a delicious meal. The chef can still be part of the action in our open concept kitchen and living area with plenty of seating for the whole gang. Have a quick breakfast at the kitchen island, or enjoy a formal meal at the beautiful dining table. Around the Area Located in Southeastern Oklahoma, Broken Bow, OK has endless options for outdoor enthusiasts. The area is the gateway to Beavers Bend State Park, Broken Bow Lake, the Mountain Fork and Glover Rivers, the Kiamichi Mountains, and the Ouachita National Forest. When you visit Broken Bow, you share space with black bears, bald eagles, and other wildlife. With its luscious pine forests and clear water, popular outdoor activities in this area include boating, hiking, bird watching, biking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, golfing, and scuba diving. Our home is only 100 yards from Broken Bow Lake and 200 yards from the boat ramp on the North end of the lake, making it incredibly easy to enjoy activities by the water. Although you can enjoy feeling truly secluded at our cabin in the woods, you are located only 20 minutes from the center of Hochatown, where you can find restaurants, wineries, breweries, and shopping. You are also 40 minutes from Broken Bow. Things to Note No pets. No smoking/vaping. No parties. Because it is located in a secluded area, this home does have spotty WiFi and has limited cell phone service. We drove 250 miles to get here ready to relax but found issues right away. The washer was broken, the downstairs toilet flush didn’t work (we had to fix it manually each time), and the exterior needed attention, spider webs, pet hair on outdoor furniture, and leaves and logs that could have been blown off. Inside, the cleaning was below expectations, hair in the bathroom and spots that looked like blood. There were no kitchen towels; the manager was responsive and guided me to where they should have been, but there were none.The listing shows a basketball hoop, but there wasn’t one, we even brought our basketball. We asked for firewood to cook out; there was a small amount, but not enough, and more was never delivered.The property is very remote, which we knew and prepared for by bringing everything we could need, but any trip to town takes 1.5 hours round trip. The strict 10:00 am checkout was the biggest stressor. We don’t travel light, and after breakfast, dishes, stripping beds, gathering towels, taking out trash, and packing, we worked nonstop and still couldn’t leave before noon.The manager was polite and responsive, but not everything could be fixed during our stay. The house has potential, but guests wanting a relaxing Sunday morning may find it stressful. With better maintenance, small extras (foil, ziplocks, more trash cans), and more checkout flexibility, this could be great rental ##### Ana B. This is a cabin in the woods with designer amenities. It looks exactly like the pictures. The house is clean and furnished with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable the linens are great quality. The bathrooms are very nice and the water pressure is great. The TVs are Roku tvs and very easy to use. There are 4 TVs, a large one in the family room and one in every bedroom. The kitchen has everything you need. All top of the line appliances and utensils. The patio is huge and as in the pictures, has a sitting area, dining table and huge hot tub. We’re from Dallas and we rarely see more than a few stars in the night sky due to night light pollution. At this house, you are away from all city light and you will see a beautiful night sky filled with millions of stars. If you are into hiking and nature, you’ll love this place. There is a one mile nature trail right down the street and groomed trails all around the area. Francisco…the owner, is great at timely communication and feedback. This place worked great. However, the lake that is seen on the picture isn't really accessible. There are steep, rugged woods between it and the house. From the description and comments from other renters it seemed that was the lake to hike to but that is incorrect. Although there is one down the road that can be walked to easily. This place is far out from town and stores, but that was known ahead of time. The road condition is not good onve you turn off the main highway but that's no fault of the homeowners. There are many thoughtful features throughout the house with hand soap and lotion in not only the bathrooms but the kitchen, also a washer and dryer. A dual Keurig coffee pot allows for regular as well as k-cup coffee. There is a wonderful grill, hot tub, couches and a great table and chairs on the back porch. Very comfortable!! The dining room and living room are beautiful and there are lots of games provided for all ages. There is a boat ramp within walking distance from the house. It’s about 7/10 of a mile. A few negatives of the location are it is 8.4 miles from the major road to Hochatown and Broken Bow. If you go to Broken Bow, they have some nice restaurants but it is about 60 miles RT from the house. Francisco is very responsive to all queries. I have one suggestion for him. He provided an online guidebook the day before we left. We were scrambling to pack everything and get on the road so we didn’t get to view it and copy it before leaving. That is information you need. I strongly suggest it be provided at least 5 days prior to the arrival date to give the renters time to print it out before leaving. There is a guest wifi capability but it isn’t as good as you can get in town. Regarding TV capability, live TV and Disney are provided. We watched several Disney movies. Netflix is available if you have an account. ##### Barbara E. We spent the weekend for a girls trip and the house was wonderful. Lots of deer and wild turkey's. The beds were wonderful and the kitchen was perfectly appointed with everything we needed. There isnt a view of the lake, but it was still very beautiful and quiet. Keep in mind the check in process is digital, and there is no internet service unless you jave the wifi password before you get there. We had to go back to town to get the password because there isnt a book to explain the details of the house. One small inconvenience didnt ruin our stay. A great time was had by all! ##### Katie J.
