But his favorite was the one nestled at the edge of Sherwood Forest where he came to feast and make merry with his friend, Robin Hood. Sherwood Chateau honors the memory of this legendary friendship. It combines the simple beauty of the National Forest with luxury fit for a king. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a 20 ft. floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace and cathedral pine ceilings that bring indoors the majesty of the forest. Unique burnt-pine floors, rich granite countertops together with dark, alder-wood cabinets create a unique atmosphere that is both natural and elegant. Guests are sure to enjoy the beautiful fireplace in the living area, sitting upon one of the two queen sleeper sofas and love seat. Rest assured, there is a hall bathroom available for any guests taking advantage of the sleeper sofas. Each of the four King bedrooms has its own distinctive character with luxury bedding, as well as an en-suite bathroom. The Master bath boasts a soaker tub in addition to its tiled shower. Another downstairs suite has a full-size futon as well as the King bed. Its bath includes a gorgeous shower and full laundry facilities. An upstairs King Suite offers a versatile tub/shower combination with another washer and dryer. And the upstairs bunk room can sleep six on single bunks or can be configured as one King and four singles. There is also a pack'n play and baby gate available for guest use. An arcade game in the bunk room and a 9’ shuffleboard table on the catwalk make for upstairs fun. But really, the whole property is dedicated to feasting, fun, and merriment. A fully equipped kitchen and dining room comfortably seats a crowd inside. This property features a highchair for guest use. The gas-grill and dining area on the spacious deck make plenty of room for celebration outside as well. Games and fun are not confined to a game room, but are scattered throughout, inside and out. Séjour de 3 nuits en juillet 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Joe T. 9 janv. 2023 Points forts : Propreté #### Perfect Getaway for my Kids and Grandkids Sherwood Chateau is the perfect Home and Location for our New Year's Eve getaway for our Daughters, Son-in-Laws and 4 grandchildren (ages 1-5). Everything was perfect and we cooked in other than one lunch away. The fire-pit and adirondake chairs was where we spent a ton of time in the evenings and the kids loved it. The hiking trails are convenient and getting into town to buy provisions couldn't have been more simple. We will be back ##### Joe T. It was the perfect amount of space for our two families with 5 kids total. Kids loved the bunk beds, shuffleboard, and Ms. Pac-Man. Sadly tgere was a burn ban and we couldn’t use the amazing fire pit, but with the outdoor fireplace and tv, we were good. Only complaint would be that the hot tub might’ve been chemically off a bit-it bubbled up tye first day and didn’t smell the best day two, but with plenty of other activities and outdoor games, it wasn’t a huge issue. ##### Stacey F. The boat ramp is very close and the lake is amazing, we will be coming back. ##### David A. The layout of the house worked well. Everyone couple had their own bedroom with attached bath. The only drawback was the up and down around the house. It wouldn't work well for unsteady seniors, kids or pets. There is lots of gravel to traverse. TVs were plentiful, but be sure and bring your log-ins for your favorite apps. It took us a few minutes to discover how to use them. The property has easy access from the main road, but directions to the actual property were a bit confusing. Again, we had a terrific time in a beautiful property. Very comfortable and the AC worked great! ##### Cheryle D.
