"We had a room on the first floor on the dock. Beautiful views and surprisingly quiet considering it was adjacent to a very active waterfront. The property is very central to the shops and restaurants in downtown Boothbay Harbor. The staff person who checked us in at a different property that was in common ownership recommend some excellent dining options. Checkout is at 10 am, which is a bit early compared to other places we have stayed at but it was manageable. We would stay there again without hesitation."

"Lovely house with great wraparound porch and gorgeous plants & trees. The lilacs, which I love, were blooming which was absolutely delightful - so aromatic and beautiful! The bed was very comfy and the view of the town and water was joyful. There's a lovely art gallery, used bookstore, and plenty of dining options nearby. A very sweet couple manages the inn and they're excellent cooks - Captain Sawyer's breakfast was beyond delicious - one day it was just me and they served huevos rancheros and posette - incredible! ...The kitchen is down the hall from the rooms so if you wish there are opportunities for social time. The only thing that I'd recommend as a future update - as with many stately old New England homes, the bathroom could use a refresh - including some new caulking."
