"We loved the location, inside the walls; we enjoyed walking along the castle walls and wandering the twisty, old, cobblestone streets. We found excellent cafes and restaurants within Óbidos and did a day trip by bus to Nazaré. However, the 1 bathroom was tiny- it was challenging to even turn around. The bathroom sink did not have a stopper and I didn’t feel comfortable putting in and cleaning my contact lenses over that little sink. "The hosts and house are what every home sharing experience should strive to be like. Their communication was phenomenal, the location was picturesque, and if they didn't have it, they were quick with a great recommendation. We were fortunate enough to be here for Carnaval and were less than a 10 minute walk from the joyous festivities. If you want to experience a welcoming and native town in Portugal that is near both Lisbon and Obidos, this is a must."
