The Space:

Island View is open, bright, and connected to the outdoors. The main living area flows directly onto a wide deck overlooking Palm Beach, creating an easy rhythm between indoor and outdoor living. It’s a natural spot for morning coffee, shared meals, and evenings watching the light fade across the bay.



Inside, the open-plan layout keeps the home feeling social and spacious. The lounge connects easily with the dining area and full kitchen, offering plenty of room to spread out or come together. A wood fire adds warmth in cooler months, while air conditioning keeps the house comfortable through summer.



Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a calm retreat with its own bathroom and ocean glimpses. Downstairs, two further bedrooms include a super king that can be split into singles, and a twin room with two trundlers, a flexible setup well suited to families or mixed groups. Three bathrooms make sharing simple, and natural light fills the home throughout the day.



Decks wrap around the house, catching sun at different times and framed by native bush. Whether you’re relaxing under the pergola or heading down to the beach, Island View delivers an easy, unhurried Waiheke stay.

Guest Access:

Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:30 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee and can be confirmed closer to arrival, subject to adjacent bookings.



The home is accessed via a path with approximately 45 steps from the parking area.



The Neighborhood:

Island View sits just above Palm Beach, one of Waiheke’s most popular and family-friendly beaches. It’s a short walk down to the sand for swimming, picnics, or coffee from the Palm Beach Store. A playground and BBQ area sit right by the beach, making it an easy spot for long afternoons.



Nearby, Arcadia Waiheke is a local favourite for relaxed meals and good coffee. Oneroa Village is a short drive away and offers cafés, boutiques, and dining options including Fenice, Vino Vino, and The Oyster Inn.



Several of Waiheke’s best vineyards are also close by, including Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, and Casita Miro, ideal for relaxed tastings and long lunches before heading home for a quiet evening above the bay.



Getting Around:

Island View is well connected by public transport. From the Matiatia ferry terminal, buses run regularly across the island, stopping at Palm Beach just a short walk from the house.



Buses continue on to Oneroa Village, Onetangi, and past major vineyards including Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, Casita Miro, and Wild on Waiheke. The Heke Kitchen, Brewery & Distillery is also on the route.



For guests bringing a car, parking is available at the property. Oneroa Village and the ferry terminal are around ten minutes away by car. Taxis and rideshares are available but can be costly during peak times.



Other Things to Note:

The home sits in an elevated position and is accessed via a path with approximately 45 steps from the parking area. While the views are well worth it, this may not suit guests with limited mobility.



Like most Waiheke homes, the property runs on rainwater tanks, so we ask guests to use water thoughtfully during their stay.



Minimum stay requirements apply:

7 nights from Christmas to mid-January, 3 nights for the rest of January and holiday weekends, and 2 nights at all other times.
