"The property was in a beautiful location and inside was lovely and clean. Also everything you need in the cupboards Garden area was great and a lot of the farm animals came to say hello Nice walks nearby and other lovely places to visit by car. Would recommend people who are looking for a peaceful stay especially if you have a dog"

"This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."

"A very nicely refurbished cottage with all necessary equipment and appliances. 50 metres walk to the mostly deserted beach. Not much to do in Powfoot itself, so driving is essential. Caravan park cafe very good and Powfoot hotel good if you don't have a dog."

"Clift Hill is a fabulous place to stay. We were a group of 20 friends and family and we loved the house. It's extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. It has impressive rooms and views but it also feels very homely. The kids (aged between 4 and 11) had a brilliant time exploring the house and gardens, playing with the games and outdoor play equipment and taking over the hot tub."

"Exactly as described. Couldn't get wifi code link wouldnt open and telephone number not recognised. We did get it after emailing.next day Maybe leave written instruction in the caravan for heating and wifi . Great selection of games and activity box for children as well as good selection of books Kitchen fully equipped with all things you could need . Good shower too. Everything seems to have been thought of and provided for a good stay.. We enjoyed our stay."

"Located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood with well cared for lawns. Parking was a little tricky to find as the driveway next to the residence is off limits. Plenty of room for 3 people inside. It was inconvenient to learn there were no kitchen supplies (salt, pepper, cooking oil) as we’d booked it with the intention of using the kitchen right away. Easily righted with a trip to the store."

"Delightful cabin in a peaceful setting. However, I was trying to escape fireworks for my terrified dog and instead had 2 stressful nights of loud fireworks. A country locale is not always the answer."
