"The property was spotless, and the front desk people were incredibly friendly and helpful. They offered us a curated list of suggested restaurants (with feedback from the staff). Pool was very nice - heated, outdoors, with (small) pool towels available at the front desk. Location is fantastic - and is right next to a Starbucks! It was an easy 15 minute drive to the Zoo, Target/Ralphs, La Jolla and downtown San Diego. Breakfast was so-so - pretty much what you'd expect for free. They only do freshmade waffles on weekends at this location. Room was clean, and everything was working great. Parking was $27 per night, which seemed excessive - the location is off a highway and it's unlikely anyone is parking there other than hotel guests, so it felt like a money-maker. Sofa bed could use a new mattress and was small, but otherwise, was comfortable. The staff and location were the best features!"
