Built from environmental friendly materials, using traditional adobe bricks, the house compreende the large open plan living and dining space with kitchen, a spacious double bedroom on the mezzanine level (16 m2) and a high spec bathroom. The kitchen comes fully equipped and the whole is tastefully decorated. To the rear of the house is a well maintained terrace (16 m2) with a beautiful view of the dunes sand and the Natural Park. The house is at the far end of a small private condominium, set away from the road and any noise. It is the ideal choice for Those looking for romance, the perfect surfing spot, to explore the Rota Vicentina (Whether by foot, bike or on horseback), or simply to relax and enjoy the beaches and the beauty of nature. The best fish and regional food restaurant (Restaurant River Site) is only 2 minute walk from the cottage. Less than 1 km, on the way to Praia da Amado, is another excellent fish restaurant (Oven Site Restaurant) with a suberb view over the sea. The best pizza in the region (Pizza Pazza) are in Pedralva Village, less than 10 km on the way to Vila do Bispo. Still in Pedralva Village, is the restaurant / bar Site Pedralva, Which We Also recommend. A variety of very good restaurants and bars are available within 25 km. For Those passionate about surfing, surfing boards and neoprene suits can be hired at the town center or the Amado beach, 3 kms away from the cottage. For Those looking to take on surfing lessons, These are available Both in Praia da Bordeira (5 min walk) and in Amado Beach. If you enjoy going for long walks, cycling or horse riding there are Numerous coastal and inland trails to use. At the center of the village you can find minimarket "Irene" where you can buy the essentials, including bread. Other supermarkets such as Lidl and Intermarché within 25 km distance. This house is the one but last of the row of houses on a small private condominium, Which Gives it quite a privileged position, away from the noise and the main road. It compreende the large living space with a lovely dining area and a well equipped kitchen. In the living area there is a couch with a single bed underneath, very handy for a small family of three people. The single bed can be pulled out for the evening and slide back underneath the couch in the morning, leaving the area nice and tidy for the day. Upstairs in the mezzanine there is a good size double bedroom with a comfortable king size bed (1.80 X 2.0 m). Downstairs there is a bathroom with window and a large shower base with glass doors. From the well maintained west facing terrace the visitor can enjoy a lovely view of the dunes sand and the Natural Park. The house is perfect located, close to the sea and we had daily beautiful walks on the beach (that soft sand!). It's a perfect place if you want to discover the seaside for surfing or resting; or around Monchique (very nice roads and landscape there), and Gonzalo would answer very quickly for any question and give you tips for daily life.... Wir haben hier zu viert einen sehr schönen Urlaub verbracht. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Küche gut ausgestattet und die Terrasse genau richtig um Abends noch ein Gläschen Wein zu verköstigen. Wir waren bereits zum fünften Mal in Carrapateira. Immer in den Reihenhäusern zu dem auch Gonzalos gehört. Allerdings hat uns dieses bisher am meisten zugesagt. Klare Empfehlung. Das Häuschen ist super ausgestattet mit allem, was man im Alltag braucht: dazu gehören Küchenutensilien, Apple TV und Internet, Kaffeemaschine, ein gemütlicher Wohn- und Essbereich, ein sauberes Bad mit Handtüchern, Fön und Handseife und ein gemütliches Schlafzimmer. The well appointed unit is modern with character, cozy and comfortable. The location on a gorgeous beach with easy access to hiking on the cliffs overlooking the beach make this a perfect vacation place. The owner is prompt and responsive. Will man an den traumhaften Strand mit Dünen geht man entweder durch den kl. See üb. die Dünen od. fährt mit dem Auto den Berg etwas hoch. In der Nachsaison keine Parkprobleme. Das Haus ist sehr hübsch u. rustikal. Im Lokal Sitio O Rio gleich gegenüber kann man sehr gut u. preiswert essen. Hier spürt man den Atlantik mit hohen Wellen, ideal für Wellenreiter, Surfer und Kiter. ##### Christine und Herbert M. Séjour de 7 nuits en octobre 2017 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Rouven B. 27 sept. 2017 #### Nice stay at Carrapataira! Relaxtes Urlaubsende in Carrapataira. Das Haus liegt in Laufweite zum Bordeira Strand, zum Surfen sollte man aber besser zum Amado Strand fahren, weniger Wind bessere Wellen. Die Kommunikation mit Gonzalo war super. Man findet im Haus alles was man braucht bis auf eine Wasch/Spülmaschine(haben wir für die kurze Zeit auch nicht gebraucht). Wir waren zu viert. Optimal is die Unterkunft aber wohl für Paare oder mit einem Kind. Alles in allem schönes kleines Reihenhaus das auch bei heißen Temperaturen angenehm kühl bleibt. ##### Rouven B. Delta) und den Kaffee pro Tasse im Filter aufbrühen mussten, war die Einrichtung top. Wir haben uns die Tage sehr wohlgefühlt und die Kommuniktaion mit Gonzalo hat einwandfrei geklappt. ##### Reiner B. Nähe zum Strand,Restaurants und Ort sehr gut. Zu empfehlen für Wasserratten und Sonnenanbeter gleichermassen. Kleine Terrasse auf der man Abends die Brandung hören kann. ##### Martin M. Das Haus ist gemütlich und geschmackvoll möbliert, die Austattung ist gut. Es hat alles sehr gut geklappt. Insgesamt hat uns alles sehr gut gefallen. ##### Angela A. Wir waren zu zweit über Silvester im Beach Cottage und hatten eine sehr entspannte Zeit. Das Haus liegt traumhaft gelegen am Ende einer Straße und wenige Meter vom Strand (Praya da Bordeira) entfernt. Das verschlafene Örtchen Carrapateira ist fußläufig erreichbar und hat einen kleinen Supermarkt (Irene). Das Cottage ist wahnsinnig gemütlich. Wir hatten einen elektrischen Heizer, der das Haus gut beheizt hat. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, Backofen, Zitronenpresse, Kocher, Mikrowelle etc. Morgens frühstückten wir auf der kleinen Terrasse und planten unsere Wanderungen. Das Bett ist riesig und sehr gemütlich. Im Wohnzimmer gibt es ein Sofa, was man auch ausziehen kann. Das Bad hat eine schöne Standdusche. Handtücher und Fön sind vorhanden. Wir empfanden die Lage des Hauses als perfekt. Praya da Bordeira ist ein fantastischer Strand und sehr weitläufig. Uns begeisterte die Küstenwanderung zum nächstgelegenen Strand Praya do Amado und zurück durch das grün-saftige, hügelige Tal, über die Ortschaft Carrapateira. Aber auch mit dem Auto lohnen sich Ausflüge nach Aljezur oder Sagres. Die Kommunikation lief einwandfrei, sehr freundlich und schnell. Mit Hilfe der vorab geschickten Informationen, haben wir das Haus problemlos gefunden. Wir kommen sicher wieder und empfehlen jedem Naturliebhaber dieses Cottage! :) ##### Ina K.
