We booked a non smoking room but when we entered the room the smoke was so heavy I could taste it and there were burn marks all over the carpet. We asked to be moved and got a new room which smellt like a mixture of smoke and peppermint airfreshener to hide it. At least in this room it was still manageable. Stains in the carpet but bedlinnen and bathroom were clean. The staff there was very very helpful. The room was spacious, well maintained and had a small hot pot to geat water for coffee, tea or miso soup. You do not need soap or shampoo hecause it provided in the shower. There are a couple of restaurants nearby but they close around 8pm plan to go to the market which is a little over a mile away. Theres a local bus that runs almost every hour for 200¥ one way.
