"Pool was horrible. Did not let the kids swim. Room smelled like old musty feet. Stayed at many places around this area and will not recommend this one. Bright spot was the staff was great!"

"When my family and I arrived at the hotel, the front receptionist already looked extremely stressed. She assigned us Room 433, and the moment we walked in, we realized the AC was not working. We tried turning it on several times, but nothing happened. The room smelled awful, and my daughter immediately started complaining that the bed felt itchy. My husband went downstairs to speak with the receptionist, and the only solution she offered was a fan. A few minutes later, security showed up with a fan like around 1 AM, with two kids, in a hot room, with no working outlets to even charge our phones. That was her “solution.” I went down myself to ask for a room change, and she told me there were no rooms available, only the fan. Then she added that if I wanted to go to another hotel, I was “welcome to do that” and she would refund me. Imagine being told that at almost 2 AM with two little kids. So that’s exactly what I did, I left and booked a much better hotel for a better price. Save your time, your money, and your sanity. Do NOT come to this place."

"Their amenities section pickup/dropoff at LAX but fails to mention that you must call the hotel for pickup. After 20 minutes of no van we asked another Hilton driver and only then did we learn that we needed to call them. The young lady was tacky and rude and told us it would be 15-25 minutes depending on traffic (1.7 miles). 35 minutes later we called back and was told it could be 15-55 minutes and put my wife on hold for nearly 15 minutes. 30 minutes later an unmarked van that had nothing to do with the hotel pulled up and called our name. I cannot tell you HOW MUCH we enjoyed the extra 1 1/2 hours they added to our 16 plus hour return from South Hampton/Heathrow. They should have been up front about their pickup policy, not lied to us three times and then send an unidentified vehicle without contacting us. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!"

"Our room was not ready, in fact people who we’re in our room, we’re granted a 4 PM check out they weren’t even out at 4 PM and our check-in was 4 PM. We did not get into our room until hours later and then our TV didn’t even work and we did not even get the room we paid for it was a mess. It was awful and the rooms were no better than a Holiday Inn."

"I booked to stay at The Wave and when I arrived I was informed that there was no room for me and I was moved into their neighbouring property The Pacific. The property was considerably more worn from the outside and inside there were no facilities and the rooms were average with a loud and hardly working air conditioner and the towels were so old and worn that the white was grey. The staff were not helpful with no explanation as to why my booked room was unavailable. The hotel was very noisey with the room above me housing a tap dancing team who clearly enjoyed their practice until 2am and then the cleaning staff woke me before 7am whilst yelling outside my room which appeared to be housed next to the cleaning supply room. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience and would not book either hotel in the future."
