An amazing stay at Kirkwood House! Richard and Paula are superior hosts and really nade sure our stay was exceptional. Our room was large and very nicely furnished. Breakfast was great.

A very nice, quiet place in a good location, a reasonably short walk to both Bowness and Windermere. The host, Paula, is very kind and helpful and I really enjoyed the wonderful breakfast! If I come back to the Lake District I'll stay there again.

Lovely friendly place to stay. Paula was very welcoming, and the room was immaculate, and clean. We had breakfast and it was lovely, plenty to choose from and paula cannot do enough for you on your stay. Thanks guys for your hospitality we will be back.

Fantastic stay in Windermere! Thanks for Richard and Paula, we had an amazing time for 3 nights. Great taste breakfast provided everyday, the room is classic furnished and the location is good. With impacted introduction from Paula, we explored most of areas of Lake District. We enjoyed our holiday here and will definitely choose Kirkwood for the next time.

Paula was a delight! Loved her advice and helpful tips. Our little family room was perfect and so cozy. The house is perfectly located close to the Badderley Clock Tower bus stop, and perfectly situated between Bowness and Windermere. Breakfast is not to be missed! Everything was locally sourced and delicious. Highly recommend!

A very pleas stay

Overall - very good and would recommend. The DVD remote wasn’t working, but the chap was straight on to it, and the next guests will have a new remote. The breakfast sausages had a burnt layer on them, but we think that’s the way they fry them. Nice people and great accommodation.

The bedroom linen and bathroom towels were clean and comfortable. The owners are living on the premises. There is no dining room in the house, nor fridge or microwave oven in the room.
