"Perfect little place for my husband and me. It was very close to Lake Jocassee and the state park, and I loved that we could use the free park pass. We rented kayaks at the state park and enjoyed paddle boarding, too. There was an excellent restaurant called Crave nearby, too. Definitely would stay again."

"The property owner was very congenial and helpful. Absolute gem of a person. Specifically with the pet fee that had been overlooked which was handled quickly without the management company, Evolve. I will not book another property managed by Evolve. The non-stop calls, text messages, and emails. Sending unverified payment links outside of the Vrbo messaging portal was unprofessional and took the majority of our first day on vacation to manage. Their communication efforts along with poorly managed payment process that puts the consumer at risk is without a doubt the worst experience I’ve had with Vrbo. Again, I will not book a property manager by evolve again."

"Excellent time at the bungalow. Beautiful, quiet. Was able to enjoy the fire pit as well as cornhole with the family. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Literally a 3 minute drive to lake joccassee. 10/10 needless to say we will be staying here again. Thank you to the Bishop family"

"Overall we had a good stay. The cabin itself was clean, towels were provided in the bathroom. Check-in/out was contactless and went smoothly. The cabin is on the same property as two other rental buildings, which wasn't a problem for us. Be aware that the queen bed is extremely soft (I'm usually not picky but I'm glad I was the only one on it). I tried to contact the host to double check that I had the cancellation/refund date correct (I was struggling to find it again after I booked) due to weather concerns and I got an AI response. I was not going to be upset if someone had just replied "it is too late for a refund", but I didn't even get a human, just basically AI spitting my words back at me. This is their business and not just their personal vacation joke they are renting out, so I would expect a bit more. Overall decent for a budget stay."

"This was an absolutely seamless stay from start to finish. Communication with the owner was excellent, consistent, friendly, and responsive throughout our visit. He was always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. The home was thoughtfully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need, making it incredibly comfortable and convenient. The location is perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to do. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable stay, and I would gladly stay here again!"
