"The hotel doesn’t live up to its photos. The elevators were noticeably dirty, our room smelled like cigarette smoke, and the air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived. We called the front desk and spoke with Melanie, who said the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t switch rooms, but that an engineer would come up to fix the AC. Forty minutes passed and no one showed up, so we called again. This time we were told the engineer had already reset the thermostat remotely, but the room was still warm and stayed that way all night. We also noticed rooms showing as available online while being told the hotel was at capacity, which was confusing. By then it was past 10:30pm and we were tired, so we let it go. Not a great night’s sleep. The one highlight was the valet team, who were genuinely kind and went out of their way to help."

"Breakfast was free but was poor and from provided options most were not available. Was better to go out for breakfast. Had a huge bar, but was closed both days. "

"My 3 friends and I LOVED this home! Location is perfect for accessing anywhere in town that you want to go (by vehicle). Just a few minutes away from Duke University and all of the fun downtown hot spots.The house itself is SO cozy. There are fans in each bedroom (which you need in the south). Having 4 separate bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was AMAZING! We had our own "private" space to stretch out when we needed it. The bathrooms are stocked with all the amenities you need, just as you would keep them at your own house. The living area/kitchen and front porch are inviting and cozy, perfect for relaxing and spending time together with friends. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals, but don't miss out on the local eateries - everywhere we ate was DEE-licious! The little touches in the house (such as PLENTY of coffee - again, it's a southern thing) made me feel like I was at home.If you need to stay in Durham, this is the place!"

"Enjoyed the roof top but long wait times. I had to 2 free drink tickets but they weren’t given to me at check in so I never used them. My room had all the set up for coffee including a coffee pot but no coffee or creamer. Otherwise enjoyed our stay."

"This was a really amazing place to stay while we attended a wedding. The place was immaculate very well kept and beautifully done. "Annie & Bryan are great host. The whole process was seamless. Very comfortable & clean home. Easy access upon check-in. I appreciate being able to communicate with the host in a timely fashion. If I had a question within minutes they respond. I even made friends with the family in unit A. Overall, I would definitely stay again and refer a friend.
