With somewhat of a steep grade for part of the hike, you'll cross alpine meadows via boardwalk, then climb higher via dirt trail before reaching the overlook. Pro tip: this is an incredible sunset hike. We didn't think we would have enough time before it got dark (always bring flashlights just in case!) but even after starting the hike at 6pm we got back to our car just as it got dark at 8pm.
