"Great place. Loved the layout especially for traveling with 2 small dogs. In closed deck made a safe place to let the dogs off leash and you could stand on the deck to let the dogs down the stairs to pee on a long leash.Aaron was great to communicate with you instantly felt comfortable that it was going to be a nice place to stay."

Beautiful Cloudcroft Getaway cabin on National Forest & biking/hiking trails

"This Cloudcroft mountain home fit our multi-generational family of seven well! It’s conveniently located close to Cloudcroft Village while also bordering the National Forest with hiking trails! The young grandsons loved the bunk beds & the games. The supplies for our baby grandson were wonderful! A favorite spot was sitting in the glider or at the dining table on the front deck watching hummingbirds or listening to the wind in the pine trees. Also appreciated was the “baby gate” put across the top of the front deck stairs for our dog, as well as the low fence at the back of the house. All the appliances worked well making it convenient for eating in or doing laundry. The only negative is that the original amenities list included AC, but there is none, so it was warm in the house by the late afternoon/ evening and hard to cool down in a warmer-than-usual late June in Cloudcroft. Opening some of the windows (some hard to open because they are weighted), ceiling fans in all the rooms, plus an oscillating fan in the living room helped move around the air. Perhaps box fans can be made available during the summer months to put in the living room, dining room, and bedroom windows to pull in the outside air. Ian did apologize for the inaccuracy of the AC listing and corrected it, so communication with him was great. Overall, our family enjoyed a lovely stay in Cloudcroft at this mountain home!"

The Crofting Bed and Breakfast

"I have to start out with this review by saying that we were very impressed with Andie who saved the day. Her service was stellar and she went way above and beyond in any way that we needed her. I have mixed feelings about the actual bed and breakfast. The decor was cozy and quaint matching the older building. It was a short walk to town. To start each day, Andie cooked delicious breakfasts. We booked the bed and breakfast for three nights. Our room, however, did not look anything like the picture. I was expecting a bigger room. After a long day. We were crawling into bed and found the sheets full of hair and dirt. I called Andie who was very apologetic. At 10pm, she came over and changed them. The fan was loud and was tittering so we did not dare use it that night. There was no place to put things. It would have been nice to have counter space. The next morning Andie moved us into a nicer room which we appreciated. Andy also talked to the owner about giving us a partial refund. We never did get a partial refund. Nor did we ever hear from the owner who has apparently owned the place for 20 years. Not hearing from her was disappointing. With all of that being said, we had a wonderful time in Cloudcroft."

"Very pet friendly! Great place to see deer and elk grazing nearby. Lots of trails. Very quiet and cozy cabin. Everything was well maintained and clean. Enjoyed the snacks and the host checked to make sure all was well. Would definitely go back there."
