Rickie was great at communication. He even went out of his way to provide us with life jackets for us not so good swimmers for kayaking. Very clean home. (We would have recommend “no plug ins and fragrances” because my husband is severely allergic, but after airing out the house and blankets it was a wonderful stay. We spent a lot of time on the dock and by the fire pit. (Note that the hill is steep going to the dock) We would stay again and recommend this place for any friend or family member. Town is only 6 minutes awayso…. Not wanting to stay in a hotel with a pre-teen and a teenager. This was the perfect place. everyone had their own bed and there are 2 bathrooms. Quiet neighborhood. My husband and daughter had a blast fishing. They caught and released at least a dozen catfish a piece. The walk down to the river pier is steep. We are older and getting back up that last bit of hill to the street was an effort. Some stone steps might be a great addition! The indoor fireplace was very nice. The house was comfortable. It is across the road and down a long, steep hill. We also found a rat king that almost made me leave. That is a group of mice whose tails get tangled, and they eventually die in a ball. This thing was obviously there awhile. Other than that it was great. We were there for the ark and creation museum. We weren’t at the house much.
