Surrounded by water from the wild stream in the garden and the untouched forests, you feel yourself here in a piece of real nature. The rivers Ambleve, Steinbach and the large Wolfsbuch are within walking distance, where you can swim, kayak or canoe. Close your eyes and hear nothing but water, birds, sometimes some crickets and possibly fanning the fire in the fireplace. Yet you find yourself in this mystical place within fifteen minutes drive from the lively and lively town of Malmedy where you can, if you like, seek out the crowds. A five minute drive away you will find the traditional village of Waimes with its supermarket, fresh bakery and possibly a pharmacy. When you enter the house, you get what you expect when you think of a fairytale chalet in the Ardennes. With a burning stove in the middle surrounded by cozy large sofas and lazy chairs. Robust, wooden doors and paneling. Shot yacht on the wall and a burgundy open kitchen. The two bedrooms on the upper floor are equipped with double beds and each have their own washbasin. The view from the bedrooms is breathtakingly beautiful. On the ground floor you will find a luxurious suite with French doors that give you a great view outside and a beautiful 4th bedroom with a beautiful view of the wild nature, each with a deluxe sink. The chalet has an extra conservatory with open views to the outside where you see nothing but forests, water and air. In the house you will find two toilet rooms and a spacious, separate luxury shower / steam room of cleopatra. The house is surrounded by greenery. On the terrace you can eat in the summer and you walk into the private garden with its various flowing streams. Een zeer leuk vakantieadresje, op en top in Ardense sfeer. Het zicht vanuit de verschillende ruimtes is fenomenaal. De ruime keuken is praktisch, alles is aanwezig. Respekt an den Handwerker. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und die Außenanlage großzügig. Nette und schnelle Kommunikation per Mail. Internet Verbindung (nur WLan) war gut. Für die, die ihre Bettwäsche selbst mitbringen (Maße sind ca. 180x200) Ein Super selbstgebauter Holzkohle Grill als 2Meter Breite Außenküche befindet sich auf der Terasse. Wir haben Jacques' Chalet mit 7 Personen für ein langes Familienwochenende gebucht. Wir hatten eine superschöne erholsame Zeit: urgemütliches, sauberes Haus, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Küche war gut ausgestattet, Kaminfeuer, wunderschöne Natur vor der Haustür und vieles mehr. Jacques war schon vor und auch während unseres Aufenthalts für Rückfragen erreichbar und hat uns sogar Ausflugstipps gegeben. Wir empfehlen Chalet Le Jacques zu 100% weiter. We waren met 4 stellen van plan om een weekend gezellig te gaan borrelen, eten, drinken en overdag mooie wandelingen te willen maken.. Allen wonend in hartje Randstad zijn er een aantal opties te bedenken maar al snel kwamen de Belgische Ardennen als winnaar uit de bus. Via wat Googelen terecht gekomen op het sprookjesachtige chalet Le Jacques 2 in het plaatsje Ondenval, en niets was minder waar! Einde werkweek op vrijdagavond snel richting “ons huisje” voor de komende 2 nachten, een week vol stress valt direct als een last van je schouders bij het aanrijden van dit chalet. Midden in de natuur, aan een heerlijk kabbelend beekje dat je eraan herinnerd dat je vanaf nu even “off the grid” bent. Vrijdagavond heerlijk met zn allen de haard opgestookt en al zittend aan de open/bar keuken gezellig bijgekletst. De verhuurder heeft mij van te voren laten weten waar we op 5 min rijden lekker vers brood bij een lokale bakker konden halen. Na een stevig ontbijt zijn we achter het huis letterlijk de bossen ingedoken en 4 uur later uitgeteld maar voldaan stonden we weer aan de voordeur... (deze route hebben we op aanraden van de verhuurder gelopen, nogmaals dank) Allemaal even onder de douche en de vrouwen hadden nu de stoomfunctie ontdekt in de badkamer.. ;) Enfin.. Het hele verhaal van vrijdagavond herhaalde zich nogmaals en wederom genoten. Samenvattend; dit huisje heeft onze verwachtingen volledig overtroffen. 4 x heerlijke slaapkamers met wastafel Een zeer gezellige en open keuken met bar De openhaard waar je na een wandeling heerlijk kunt opwarmen Midden in de natuur maar binnen 5 min (met de auto) een bakker/supermarkt en kroegje te vinden. Verder was alles keurig schoon en ruimschoots voldoende glazen, borden, pannen etc. (2x koelkasten!) Een prettige verhuurder die duidelijk plezier heeft in het helpen van zijn gasten om een onvergetelijke ervaring te hebben! Zodra wij het chalet binnenkwamen kon ons weekend niet meer kapot, wat sfeervol ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Wij kwamen in het donker aan, toen wij de volgende ochtend wakker werden, kregen wij de volgende verassing, het uitzicht ! Prachtig, een mooi kabbelend beekje in de tuin met daar achter een groot bos, wat ons uitnodigde voor een mooie wandeling. Tijdens ons ontbijt in de serre met zijn grote ramen werden wij verrast door prachtige vogeltjes, een eekhoornfamilie op het achterliggende terras en een wild hert aan de bosrand van het perceel. Een beekje in de tuin, eekhoorntjes, een vosje. Eind van de dag bij de vuurkorf van het mooie uitzicht genieten. Lekker in de stoomdouche. Prima bedden. Goede wifi. Tip: neem wat haardhout mee.
