The Space:  
Mona Vale Country Estate by Tiny Away sits in the peaceful town of Waikari, just an hour's drive from Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand. It is close to the vibrant towns of Amberley and Waikuku Beach. It is conveniently situated just 15 minutes from renowned Waipara Wineries, including Pegasus Bay Winery, Greystone Wines, and Black Estate.   
  
The Mona Vale is located just 0.4km away in the heart of the main hub, where you'll find cafes, a garage, and a hotel. It's just 0.2km from the center. You can even take a short 44-minute drive to the alpine village of Hanmer Springs, known for its natural hot pools and stunning landscapes. This lifestyle block is surrounded by orchards that offer a private space and a fire pit where guests can relax under the magical, starry night sky.   
  
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home is just an hour's drive away from Christchurch. It has easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower for your use.  
  
Guest Access:  
Guests will have access to our cozy tiny home and enjoy privacy. However, access to the land host's private residence and other neighbouring properties will be restricted. We have an unfenced pond; not too deep to keep you from falling in. Please be careful of electrical fencing in neighbouring sheep paddocks  
  
The Neighborhood:  
Mona Vale Country Estate by Tiny Away sits in the small town of Waikari, just an hour’s drive from Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand. Where you can explore historical landmarks, bushwalking trails, lakes, and more.   
  
Waikari is best known for its tourist attraction - the Weka Pass Railway, and is home to the Māori Rock Art, which can be found under a limestone overhang in Weka Pass Historic Park.   
  
Local highlights include Waikuku Beach, Nor Wester Cafe, Railway Tavern, The Star & Garter, Hurunui Hotel, Woodend Beach Holiday Park, and the Waipara Wineries such as Pegasus Bay Winery, Greystone Wines, and Black Estate. You can also explore nearby towns like Amberley, Christchurch, and Hanmer Springs. Each destination offers its own charm within easy driving distance.

\- 15 mins drive away from Waipara Wineries  
\- 58 mins drive away from Christchurch Airport  
\- 44 mins drive away to Hamner Springs Pools & township  
  
By public transport: From Christchurch - Hamner Springs Bus is available. However, getting to the nearest town is by car or bus.

\- WiFi is available; a password will be provided upon booking  
\- Please keep in mind that some areas are shared with the land host

\- Given the unfenced pond on-site, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION  
\- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

\- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban  
\- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
