The best area to stay in Viévy itself is within the village centre, particularly around the Church of Saint-Laurent, for its convenience and access to local life.Viévy is a small, traditional Burgundian village, so the "best area" is essentially the village proper. The Church of Saint-Laurent is a good landmark, and accommodation options, such as guesthouses and small hotels, are typically scattered along the main roads like the D36 and D973 that pass through. These spots offer easy access to the local boulangerie and any small eateries. For couples seeking a quiet, authentic rural French experience, staying directly in Viévy provides a delightful base. You're right in the heart of the countryside, allowing for leisurely walks through vineyards or along quiet lanes, and you're well-placed for short drives to nearby châteaux and wine-tasting opportunities. It's a place to unwind and enjoy the pace of village life.Travellers looking for a more secluded, yet still convenient, experience might consider a gîte or country house just outside the main village. These often offer more space and privacy, sometimes with private gardens or terraces, while still being a short drive from Viévy's amenities or the larger towns like Beaune, which is about a 30-minute drive away.
