Great view from hotel and the location is about 10 min walk to train/ bus station. Lots of dining options in walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff that were very accommodating to arrange excursions, etc. Great AC and very good breakfast with amazing views. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel has an exceptional location, with a beautiful private beach. The staff was so helpful and really made our experience so easy and fun (They even upgraded our room complimentary). We walked to the train to headed into Sorrento which was super easy and fun. The sunsets on the balcony here will be a memory for years! Breakfast was included and great.

A hotel straight out of a 1980s James Bond film — perched dramatically on the cliffs of Vico Equense with views so cinematic they almost feel staged. The rooms have a charming, nostalgic feel that reminded me of my grandparents’ house growing up, yet everything is clean, well‑maintained, and thoughtfully cared for. If you’re afraid of heights, this isn’t your place. The drop from the balcony is very real, and the panorama is exactly as striking as the photos suggest. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. There’s something about them — their style, their manner — that made me feel like I’d stepped into a Bond movie, which only adds to the hotel’s unique aura. The beach club, accessed via a cliffside elevator, is a little worn around the edges but perfectly functional for a swim and a sunbake. And not even James Bond could bypass the sun‑bed attendants — the loungers come at a cost, even for hotel guests, a reminder of Italy’s unwavering beach‑club traditions. Overall, it’s a charming, slightly eccentric cliffside escape with unforgettable views and a personality all its own.

Ciro at Sporting Hotel was great! All staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are wonderful. Views too! After visiting Amalfi and Positano I would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Make sure you have money to beach towels, chairs and umbrellas as all are a separate charge. The beach was amazing though. Rooms cleaned daily and staff at restaurants were great.

Perfect hidden gem away from crowds

Hotel Sporting was a top notch hotel with incredibly detail oriented and passionate staff. They don’t let you lift a finger! From the extensive breakfast to the breathtaking views, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our upgrade to a balcony view was stunning and made such a difference. Everyone should come try out Vico Equense and Hotel Sporting to get a real taste of the coast without the crowds.

Our stay at Hotel Sporting was a wonderful experience. The view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the beautiful coastline and adding a special touch to every morning and evening. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. What really stood out was the staff — they were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their kindness made us feel right at home. Overall, Hotel Sporting is a perfect choice for anyone visiting Vico Equense. Between the stunning views, spotless rooms, and warm hospitality, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Balcony view was incredible! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with beautiful sea view! staff was very friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable. Maid was very nice and rooms very clean. Hotel near eateries and train to Sorrento. if you want a nice view, get the balcony of view. Beach was very pretty with chairs and umbrellas for a small fee.
