The building is very Venice! Many people stop and take photos of the balconies and the bridges outside the hotel. There is a gondola stop right in front of the hotel. The hotel is right in the middle or many shops and restaurants and a 15-minute walk to San Marco Square. The building and rooms are very nice but there is not anyone working at the hotel except to check you in and clean the rooms. When I emailed the person about getting to the airport when leaving nobody got back to me with any information. So, if you aren't good at finding out where to get information when you don't speak the language this is not the hotel for you.

The location right on the canal was wonderful and right in the middles of the bustling tourist area, but quiet at night too! The place was clean and had a lovely common sitting area which made if feel more like a pesnione. The staff we interacted with were great. The only downside that we did not know ahead of time was that there is no reception on site, and the check in was confusing as a result. Also, zero amenties, no cups in the rooms, no coffee pot, no microwave, there was a fridge though, and these amenities did not exist in the common areas either. Otherwise our stay was lovely and would recommend. The walk to the hotel from the train station was a solid 30 minutes, with chaotic crowds, and many up and down bridges to drag your suitcase through. We did not know about the water bus option until after we arrived, there is a station nearby that we did not know about, the staff told us after we arrived so that was helpful during out stay!

Our two rooms were different and equally beautiful. The bridge to the palazzo was a common pic pose spot for passerby. Very picturesque.

Good location, nice rooms, minor issues
Great, spacious room, good bed with nice linen. A few things didn't work as they should, mainly due to lack of maintenance or attention by the management. But nothing to not make the stay pleasant and memorable. Wifi was not working well. Location, only two bridges away from the railway station, meant carrying our luggage was not too onerous. Being close to the main street from the station to Rialto and San Marco meant a bit of noise, but nothing to prevent a good night's sleep. Our room had a kettle, but bring your own tea or coffee, as none is supplied. Safe didn't work, request to insert new batteries was ignored throughout our stay. There is a luggage storage place in the entrance, we were told that the key card would still open the main door even after check-out. Well, it didn't, but luckily someone was present to open it. (The management can be reached by phone).
