"Initially we were disappointed with the hotels response to help us 2 months prior to arrival by allowing us to cancel, due to my wife being refused an Italian visa, which continued up to 2 weeks prior to departure. This put us in a negative frame of mind, however, that was dispelled upon arrival. The hotel is situated in a good location for exploring all of Venice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good with variety each day and the staff were extremely polite and attentive. The cake at breakfast and the balloons in the room to help celebrate my wife's birthday was pre-arranged and carried out without me having to remind anyone upon arrival. Thank you."
