Old time charm on Tybee

This place perfectly fit the needs for our multigenerational family of 10. All 5 bedrooms were used. Would recommend staying in the quieter area of Tybee where this house is located.

A beautiful home meeting expectations

Great home and location. The home was complete with everything one would need on vacation. Appreciated the empty closets and dressers. I knew it was someone’s home but felt comfortable putting my things around to make the week with family perfect.

Great stay for the whole family

My family of 10 had a great stay at this home. The three story layout of the house meant that everyone had plenty of privacy and space to spread out. The living room and kitchen areas are much larger than they appear in the photos and the separate dining room was very useful for our large party. The beautiful mural in the dining room was a nice bonus, as well! The walk to the beach was easy and less than 3-4 minutes. Very quiet neighborhood, though we arrived just after Christmas, so have to imagine it’s more active during the summer months. I would highly recommend staying here and the north side of the island in general. Seems more authentic than the more touristy south side.

Family get together over Thanksgiving

Loved our time at this beautifully appointed home on Tybee Island for our family to enjoy the beach, town and easy access back to Savannah for a day. We were blessed to get spectacular sunsets two of our four nights. Loved the porch areas for the toddlers to play. We cooked all our meals together in the well stocked kitchen. The owner was very quick to respond to one concern we had and helped us resolve it. A short walk to a wide flat easy to walk or run on beach.

Family is the best

There were 6 adults and 2 children on this vacation. We walked into the house and it became our home for the week. We loved it. It didn’t have the ocean view I unexpected but we were so close to the beach it didn’t matter. We spent some days on “our beach” as the kids called it and some on the ocean beach. Both were beautiful. Every night we had dinner in the dining room and sat for hours talking and laughing. The kids loved having their own two bed bedrooms on the lower floor and had some game time. If our 2024 vacation plans bring us back to Tybee Island, I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Steve for allowing us to rent you beautiful home

Lovely home

We had a lovely vacation at this home. It is spacious and very comfortable. Steve was super responsive to any questions or concerns. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The beach nearby faces the inlet of the river so the waves are minimal and the shells are plentiful. We saw dolphins almost every day as well as sea turtle nests. We found several sand dollars and shark teeth. At least two restaurants are within walking distance and access to ocean beachfront is a very short drive (or possibly walk) away at North Beach. Savannah is under 30 minutes and we spend a day or two exploring the city.

Great House-Questionable Beach

We loved the house. Beautiful home with quality furniture. We had 4 generations ages 2 to 88. With an elevator and the short walk to the beach we felt this would work for all. The close proximity to the beach, the 4 minute walk is over the dunes so my 88 year old mother was not able to make the walk. We assumed it had a board walk from the pictures. Another problem with the beach-the Tybee sewer discharges from the treatment plant to this beach area. Signs are posted, but this info was not disclosed to us. Not where I or the grandkids need to swim. Third issue with the beach, as cargo ships enter the Savanah channel, the waves from the cargo ships floods the beach to the dunes. So even having blankets down becomes a problem. We decided for these reasons to go to the public beaches around the island, which were very crowded. Restaurants on Tybee we all substandard to Hilton Head where we are accustomed to staying. The house is great, but we were disappointed in the experience, so we won't be back to Tybee.

Met all our needs

Property was as pictured and big enough to spread out in and out. Closeness to beach was fantastic. Owner Steve was very responsive to phone calls. Updated down bedroom was well done but bunk beds are now gone so we adjusted. We enjoyed our vacation very much.

Great house layout for private and together time

Large house close to beach was great for family get together. Beach 3-5 minute walk. Each family had area for own private time and nice large living room, dining room and porches for together time. We could enjoy beach time and Tybee Island activities while being close enough to Savannah to enjoy activities there.

Amazing trip!

We loved the location! The beach was perfect with small waves because we were on the bay. It was not crowded at all and the beach was spacious. We had a short walk to the beach. A few times we went to the public beach entrance so we could take our wagon. The walk was a nice walk with a level path. The house was amazing and felt like home. There was plenty of space for the three families that went. The kids suite downstairs was perfect for our younger kids and the teenager with us. There were ample toys for the beach and tons of kitchen equipment to cook with. It was easy access to restaurants and we walked to the coffee shop each morning and enjoyed HucAPoos for dinner. We saw dolphins follow the dolphin cruise each day and loved the view of both lighthouses from the beach. It was a great location and home!

Lovely multi generational family reunion

Tybee Family Vacation 2022

The house was beautiful and the location was awesome. The kids loved the room with the bunk beds. There was plenty of room for everyone! The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We did go to North beach which was great for the grandkids and their boogie boards, but I loved walking the calm beach area behind the house. We lost power due to weather for awhile the morning we were checking out and Steve was gracious, and helpful talking with us about how to get our luggage held hostage in the elevator out in good time! We would definitely stay there again! Thanks to Steve and family for sharing their beautiful beach home!

Great Vacation!

This was a great place to stay. We had 9 of us total and had more than enough room. House was beautiful and had everything we needed. The beach that the house is on is very nice and has lots of beach wildlife but we chose not to swim there. The river and ocean coming together makes things a little murky. We chose to go to north beach. Probably the same thing, but looked a little better. Tybee itself is a pretty cool island. We pretty much stayed at the north end. We drove down to the south end once, but had everything we needed up north since we chose to do a lot of cooking in house. We would definitely stay here again. Steve has a beautiful place and it’s well taken care of.

Great place for a family vacation!!

This house is gorgeous!! And it is exactly as described! My family of 12, 10 adults and 2 children had a wonderful week. The house is very spacious and no one felt crowded. We cooked most of the meals and the kitchen had everything we needed/wanted. The walk to the beach wasn’t far, 2-3 minutes and the beaches were not crowded. We watched dolphins everyday.❤️ The water was very calm which allowed my 4 year old grandson to play without waves knocking him down . If you want waves, you can walk down the beach to the right and there are bigger waves! There is also a coffee shop a short walk from the house☕️ The check in and out was very easy and Steve was quick to answer any questions. We highly recommend this gorgeous house!
