Disappointed due to poor management.
We stayed at Diseminado el Pago El Marques 3133, 29770, Málaga, from 13th August.
During our stay the oven blew up showering glass across the kitchen. I immediately informed Marina, the daughter of Mariló and Paco who are the representatives and took me to the villa. Paco came over immediately and took pictures and Marina said that he had arranged for a technician to come at 9am on the 18th. No one turned up and as the day went by it was clear from Marina that no one would. We were leaving Saturday and it was clearly not relevant after Friday.
If I had been standing at the hob when the oven exploded I would have had my bare legs lazerated and scalded by the flying glass. The fact that half our cooking facilities were out of action not even mid week didn’t seem to raise any urgency from Mariló, Paco or Marina. Bearing in mind the villa is very isolated on a dreadful dirt tract that’s over a mile plus long from a main road and still miles from anywhere wasn’t something we could easily resolve by popping out for lunch or dinner.
At first I thought Marina, Mariló and Paco were genuine as my WhatsApp messages to Marina were responded to immediately as they were earlier to Mariló, but come Saturday morning no one came to check us out as I had arranged for 09.30am with Marina. 09.30 came and went so I tried calling Marina and Mariló - my previous calls to both were always answered promptly - but not this morning. Only after repeated attempts and a WhatsApp message to Marina did I get an answer.
It was very clear to me my €150 deposit was not going to be returned. I really ought to have received a refund for non-use of the oven for four days instead and my deposit back.
Anyone thinking about this property ought to consider my experience. I have been driving for many years in many countries and the road to the villa is appalling. It is so bad it ought to be condemned by any sane authority as downright dangerous. The access and egress are so steep at the main road it would fail any safety regulations in any sane country.
The villa is modest on the two bedrooms -,suitable only for one couple with two young children or two couples who don’t mind basic bedroom accommodation, but the living area is good and comfortable.
It pains me to have to say that our holiday was blighted by the access and the poor management, but that was the reality.
If you have any qualms about driving on dreadful unmade, narrow roads then think again.
