We had a wonderful stay! The place was immaculate, spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of thoughtful details. There was plenty of coffee, lots of towels, and everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely friendly and responded quickly to any questions we had. Check-in and check-out were seamless with clear instructions, and the property itself was very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend!
The house was lovely, generally clean and well decorated. Way too many air fresheners, we had to unplug a few. The big problem was the inaccuracy in the listing - it said "WHOLE HOME" and upon check in we were told there were tenants in the basement - family apparently. This was not okay with us. Luckily we opted to leave the dog with friends as the tenants had a massive pit bull. It was a non smoking rental but we could smell weed constantly (hence the air fresheners), every time we entered the house it was like hitting a wall of weed stench. We did have to request a remote for a fan and an ironing board but otherwise the house had everything you could possibly need. The cooktop was a bit of a mystery to use but google gave us info on how to operate it.The host was very responsive to our needs but the issue with the tenants was a deal breaker for us and we would not stay there again because of it.
We were looking for a quiet home to relax in between site seeing - and this house gave us everything we needed. It was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the big city but close enough for us to enjoy downtown Toronto, the zoo, Canada's Wonderland and more. Highly recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
The house is newly renovated bright and open. Smelled like weed when we arrived. The room over the garage is very hot during the day and the window don't open properly.
There are people living in a basement appartment. I would NOT have booked if I had known someone lived there.
The railing at the bottom of the stairs outside was broken and fixed with a peice of wood. My 72 year mother almost fell when the railing let go.
The location and size of house met our vacation needs. But I will not be looking at this location due to the above mentioned items.

The property was nice and newly renovated. The host was responsive but check in was a bit chaotic because we are from the states and phone service was lacking. The code Vrbo sent me when I still had service did not match the actual code needed for the house. That’s no fault of the host, who sent the actual code around check in time when I did not have service, but the mix up was frustrating, nonetheless. It was especially confusing as we had the right address, but the code was not working AND there was a car in the driveway. We were unsure we were at the correct house at first. As other reviews have mentioned (and I failed to read) there are two people that live on site in the basement, which I suggested to the host should be mentioned in the listing. It was quite unsettling to see people there without knowing in advance what to expect. The house also smelled strongly of weed, which is also mentioned in the reviews.Otherwise, the property was nice and in a very nice area. We really enjoyed the fire pit and left some firewood behind for the next group. I wish there was a larger common area where our group of 9 could gather inside and play cards but we made do!
