Located across the street from Intercity bus, next door from the train station and 50m away from the ferry terminal, the location couldn't be better! There weren't a lot of people when I stayed and instead of cramming everyone in a single dorm, they let each guest have an entire dorm. I appreciated the gesture very much. Moreover they provide towels (not common in NZ unfortunately) and there is breakfast available and included.
