"Great place to stay on Route 66, we were looking for a break from the big chain hotels for a change. We would stay again."

"Staff and family amenities were great perks! I like the idea of it all. So much for a family with young kids to do. The rooms however had like rusted, dirty-looking fixtures. Our bed sheets had some dark spots on them. It felt a little dirty but maybe more so like a fixer upper hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly! So that was also a nice perk!"

"We stayed three nights and the room was never cleaned, towels were never replenished, etc. We finally had to ask for more towels and a roll of toilet paper on our last night. There was also an overall bad smell in the hallway. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at Hampton, as usual. It was quiet for the most part and the room was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Thank you."

"Very affordable option for a weekend trip to Palo Duro! The front desk staff were very nice, and the rooms were relatively maintained. It seems to be an older property though, since there's a lot of wear and tear on the appliances, and I think the bathroom started leaking water at one point? The beds are also not top quality (hard matress), but that was to be expected for a motel."

"It was the perfect place for us to be. The view was excellent at sunrise. A few longhorn cattle visited us late one evening. We had our privacy from other guests, too. The cabin was furnished with everything we needed to be comfortable. Very good use of every space! Would highly recommend a stay, especially if you plan to attend the musical “Texas” which is performed down in Palo Duro Canyon in the summer months. Outstanding performance and extra special as the play is celebrating its 60th year of entertainment. And The Sad Monkey Mercantile is located adjacent to the property giving access to groceries and ice and a small cafe for meals if you choose not yo cook."
