"It was our first time renting here and we absolutely loved it! We rented sea kayaks and had THE MOST amazing time paddling all around Long Cove! While out on the water, we spotted herons, seals, terns, cormorants, and bald eagles—unforgettable moments that will stay with us a lifetime. Vanessa and Paul were kind, communicative, and incredibly gracious hosts. For example, when my daughter and I each accidentally broke a drinking tumbler while doing dishes, Vanessa was completely understanding.The cabin reminded me of my family’s old cottage on Lake Michigan built by my great grandparents—rustic, but with all the essential comforts. The Wi-Fi, AC, and hot water all worked perfectly. The privacy and connection to nature here are absolutely unbeatable.We enjoyed cooking in and dining out. Highlights included tree-top and cloud gazing the hammock, spotting numerous shorebirds, smelling the ocean breezes, listening to the sounds of wind and songbirds, practicing morning meditations on the big rock overlooking the cove, building a fairy house from natural objects, playing Scrabble (we brought our own board), and eating s’mores by the fire. Our dogs loved Drift Inn Beach and peaceful walks along the cottage road. And we had one heaven-sent sunset that truly lit our hearts up. This place was magical, healing, and restorative—just what we needed. We're so grateful to Vanessa and Paul for sharing this special property with us, and we hope to return again."

"The location of the house is amazing, and the view spectacular. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks was a soothing sound throughout the day and the walking trails in the woods were an unexpected bonus. The house was the perfect size for our family and we appreciated having three bedrooms with ocean views. The only cons were minor: some more silverware in the kitchen would be appreciated as would more storage to unpack clothes in the bedrooms, and we felt we needed to use spring water for drinking and cooking given the iron in the well water. That being said, we hope to have the opportunity to return to this property again!"

"Our family had an excellent stay in this home and it was a wonderful value. We lucked out with warmer weather than we expected for early May and enjoyed having this house as our home base as we explored Camden, Rockport/Rockland, Freeport, Damariscotta, The Botanic Garden in Boothbay, and even Portland for a special occasion dinner. The home was centrally located and was serene and peaceful; it exceeded our expectations. "

"We had a 16-month-old and his 73-year-old grandfather and everyone in between, and they all love this wonderful property. It’s as beautiful as the listing describes and it’s so well equipped and comfortable, it’s the perfect home base for exploring Maine. We love the chef’s kitchen. The principal suite has windows all around to frame the magnificent views of the water. Each bedroom has closet and dresser space, and its own bathroom. I could go on, but suffice it to say it was at least our fourth (or fifth) stay. Alas, we’re outgrowing it, but Veronika has another fantastic home for us to try next year. Thanks for everything, Ms. Bean, Veronika, and crew!"

"My fiancé and I’s stay at Paul’s Cottage was absolutely wonderful! What a beautiful and picturesque cottage in Mid-coast Maine! This was our first time to Maine and what a fabulous trip it was!Everything was perfectly as described - a lovely kitchenette with a built-in mini-refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, and hot plate with plenty of dishes and silverware. There is also a lovely heater/air conditioning unit which we used one night when it got a bit chilly; otherwise having the windows open on the warmer nights was perfect!The only con was that several of the outlets, including the outlets next to the bed were not working, and we had to get a bit creative with the outlets when cooking breakfast as to not overload the power strip in the kitchen as the outlets were not working in the kitchen either. However, that being said, this did not at all detract from the beauty of the cottage, the gorgeous vintage bathtub and sink in the bathroom which has been kept in exquisite shape, and the comfortable surroundings - along with a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere. "
