"It was a very pleasant stay, the views were to die for! What a beautiful area to visit!. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was good and the bar had a nice atmosphere. We would stay there again!"

"We had an amazing stay in the Bivouacs. We were celebrating a 1st birthday and had three yurts. We’ve been before but this time we noticed the general area felt a bit smarter and tidier. We knew what to expect regarding the communal kitchen and BBQ area and it worked well for us but did feel that a few more fridges would be much better, especially if quite a few yurts are being occupied. The BBQ could do with a good clean too. The little packs left for the children with caps, kites, activities etc were amazing and also the kits for making smores. We used ALL of the facilities including the kids craft room, the playground, the family room in the cafe, the complimentary coffee in the resident’s lounge. We used the football pitch, the fire pits, the hot tub. We explored the Druid’s Temple and followed the Fairy Trail. On top of all this, we visited the wonderful spa for the kid’s session and the chaps had a go at laser shooting followed by cream tea. We watched the deer, folk fly fishing, visited the aviaries and pootled around the glorious walled garden brimming with fruit, flowers and veg with a takeaway coffee from the Terrace. There’s so much to do at Swinton and we return year after year. We find it luxurious but comfortable and homely. The staff are amazing and go out of there way to make you feel like part of a big family. Can’t wait to go again"

"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."

"A really lovely little den in an old Yorkshire-stone building in a side street of an elegant market town. Good pubs nearby. The hosts obviously care. This helps greatly. One small quibble so that this doesn't sound too gushy - the loo cistern was leaking slightly and the floor around it was damp. A small thing, easily fixed, and no problem at all. Overall, highly recommended."

"We had a wonderful stay in Forge Cottage. Our first visit to Masham, and it was a delight. Great location for walks - either from the town or a short drive to more beautiful countryside. Also for visiting the many historic sites nearby. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and spacious for two people. Parking close by in the big market square area was very convenient."

"Lovely property well-placed for exploring Yorkshire. Owners were very welcoming & the property was very well thought out. Despite blistering temperatures we enjoyed many local attractions; can recommend the White Bear for a special meal ( best to book - we were lucky to get a table as walk-ins)."

"Lovely place to stay. Was just the two of us. We would say 2nd bedroom is suitable for children rather than infants or adults, due to steep stairs, and layout of the room. Teenagers would love it I'd imagine. Only thing that let it down slightly was the small seating area outside. Just needs a little TLC. A quick sweep out would have helped. Other than that Masham and this property well worth visit, if maybe slightly over priced."
